She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Repairman Accused Of Refusing To Return Money After Not Fixing Appliance In Fairfield County A Fairfield County man has been arrested for larceny after refusing to return money to a customer after not performing repairs on an appliance. Lawrence Reddock, 66, of Norwalk, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 20, on a warrant, said the Wilton Police Department. According to police, Reddock is accused of refusing to return money to a customer who had hired him to repair an appliance. Two Juveniles Beat Clerk During Robbery At Westchester Convenience Store, Police Say Two juveniles were nabbed in connection with a strong-arm robbery of a convenience store in which they attack the clerk. The incident took place around 9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19, when Greenburgh Police responded to the Shell Gas Station at 1000 S. Central Ave., for a reported robbery, said Det. Sgt. William Lugo. Deer With Paint Bucket On Head Rescued On Long Island Sound A deer with a bucket on its head was saved from the waters of Long Island Sound with a little help from two people. The incident took place on Saturday, Nov. 21, near Port Jefferson. Frank Floridia from the Strong Island Animal Rescue League was called to the scene, reported ABC 7. Reportedly, Floridia attempted to swim to the deer but the water was too cold. A nearby boater spotted Floridia and the deer and came to the rescue and helped reach the deer and remove the bucket. Teen Arrested For Rash Of Car Burglaries, Theft Of Handgun An area teen has been arrested for a rash of car burglaries in which a handgun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Friday, March 27. The teen was arrested on Monday, Nov. 23 following a lengthy investigation into the thefts which took place in Milford, said the Milford Police. The investigation led to a juvenile arrest warrant being issued for larceny and burglary charges. The juvenile was charged with: Larceny Conspiracy to commit larceny Conspiracy to commit burglary The juvenile was released and given a juvenile court date.

CT Meat Supplier Sentenced For Fabricating E. Coli Test Results A Connecticut meat supplier has been sentenced to two years of probation for fabricating E. coli test results at his meat processing business Matt Beqiri, 33, of Tolland, was sentenced on Tuesday, Nov. 24, and ordered to pay a $15,000 fine, said John H. Woman Charged With Punching Autistic Adult Who Wandered Away From Long Island Group Home A Long Island group home employee has been arrested for allegedly punching an autistic adult in the head last month. Suffolk County Police responded to a 911 call of a woman punching another woman on Baldwin’s Path in Dix Hills at approximately 2:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Long Island Man Caught Touching Himself In Front Of Naked Child, Police Say A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly endangering the welfare of a disabled person by touching himself in front of an undressed child. Nassau County Police arrested Thomas Tana, 60, of Commack, on Tuesday, Nov. 24, in Commack, police said. Two People Rescued From Overturned Van Following Crash Into Tree On Long Island Two people had to be cut from a van on Long Island after it slammed into a tree and landed on its side. The crash took place around 9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24, on Montauk Highway in Bay Shore, said the Bay Shore Fire Department. Rescue crews from the fire department rescued two people trapped inside the vehicle, the department said. No serious injuries were reported. The accident is under investigation.

One Dead, Two Seriously Injured In Three-Vehicle Fairfield County Crash A three-vehicle crash in Fairfield County has left a man dead and two others seriously injured. The crash took place around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, on Route 59 between Maple and Judd roads in Easton. Two of the vehicles were traveling south and one was traveling north, said Easton Police Chief Richard Doyle. Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Mercedes On Busy Long Island Roadway A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle on Long Island. The incident took place around 12:25 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24, in Brentwood. According to Suffolk County Police detectives, a man was walking in the roadway in front of 466 Suffolk. Ave. at 12:25 a.m. when he was struck by a westbound 2003 Mercedes, driven by Gloria Collins, 54, of Brentwood.
