Man Wanted For Stealing $180K Nabbed At Taconic Parkway Work Zone A man wanted for stealing $180,000 has been arrested during a traffic stop at a work zone in the area. Joshua C. Allen, 19, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 17 on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam County as a fugitive from justice out of Bossier, Louisiana, said State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. Allen was stopped around 11:20 a.m., in a 2016 Nissan Altima for a vehicle and traffic law infraction committed in a work zone on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Putnam Valley, Hicks said. IDs Released For Suspect, Man Shot, Killed Outside Rockland County Bar The identities of both a longtime resident Rockland County resident who was shot dead following an argument outside a local bar and the suspect have now been released. According to the Orangetown Police, Gregory Dubuisson, 35, of Nyack, was shot and killed around 7:08 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 22, said Chief Donald Butterworth. Dubuisson's body was found lying in the street after Orangetown officers responded to the area of Main and Franklin streets on a report of shots fired, the chief said. Bicyclist Seriously Injured After Crash With Vehicle In Area A bicyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in the area. The incident took place around 6:20 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21 in Dutchess County on Route 55 (Manchester Road) at the intersection of Burnett Boulevard, in the town of Poughkeepsie Police. Man Badly Burned During House Fire In Area Firefighters were able to save a person trapped inside a garage while the structure was on fire. The incident took place around 1:47 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 45 Mill Pond Road, said Stratford Assistant. Fire Chief/Fire Marshall Robert Daniel. When firefighters arrived on the scene heavy fire was visible inside the garage and extending up the exterior of the structure, Daniel said. Westchester's Pat Quinn, Co-Founder Of 'ALS Ice Bucket Challenge,' Dies At 37 Condolences are pouring in from across the world at the passing of Pat Quinn, the co-founder of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Quinn died of the disease on Sunday, Nov. 22, said the ALS. Foundation at the age of 37 in Yonkers. He was diagnosed in March of 2013, a month after his 30th birthday. Immediately after he was diagnosed, he decided he wanted to make a difference in the ALS community. Covid-19: Greenwich Hospital One Of Six Facilities Nationwide To Test New Treatment For Virus An area hospital is one of six nationwide that has been selected to test a new treatment for COVID-19. Greenwich Hospital is one of six medical facilities nationwide – and the only one in Connecticut – slated to take part in a yearlong trial to treat 600 COVID-19 patients with hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the hospital announced on Monday, Nov. 23. Police Investigating Shots Fired Incident On Long Island Police are investigating a case of shots fired on Long Island over the weekend. The department received a call of shots fired in the area of East Argyle Street in Valley Stream around 4:45 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, said the Nassau County Police. No one was found injured and police are investigating the situation. Police are asking homeowners with video surveillance that might have captured the shooting to contact police at 516-573-8800.

Bus Crashes Into Train Station In Westchester A Westchester County Bee-Line bus hit an overhang at the drop-off area of a Metro-North Station in Westchester County. MTA Police are investigating a report made at 8:26 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, that a Westchester County Bee-Line bus carrying no passengers struck and became wedged in a weather-protection overhang over a passenger drop-off area used by motorists at the Scarsdale Metro-North station, said Aaron Donovan, spokesman for the MTA. There are no reports of injuries, he added. Metro-North Railroad personnel found no damage to the station. There was no impact to train service.

Woman Seriously Injured In Fairfield County Crash A woman was seriously injured in Fairfield County after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a roadway.. The incident took place around 5:34 p.m., Friday, Nov. 20, in the crosswalk in front of 636 Old Post Road, said Lt. Antonio Granata.
