Serious Crash Hospitalizes Two In Danbury Police are asking the public to come forward if they witnessed a vehicle crash that left two seriously injured in Fairfield County. Vehicle Crashes Into Home In Fairfield County A driver slammed into a home in Fairfield County, causing extensive damage. The incident took place in North Stamford around 4:40 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29. Firefighters arrived on the scene and found that a passenger vehicle had collided with an attached garage of the residence at 32 Lynam Road, said Stamford Deputy Fire Chief Matt Palmer. Firefighters found a significant amount of damage to the garage area of the home and immediately began efforts to stabilize the structure, he added. Man Arrested In Connection With Long Island Overdose Death A 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with an overdose death on Long Island. Corey Sealy, of Hempstead, was arrested around 9:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 29, following the death in Seaford, said the Nassau County Police. Sealy was arrested following the death and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of a criminal sale of a controlled substance. He will be arraigned on Monday, Nov. 30, in Mineola.

Area Man Threatens Woman, Steals Purse, Police Say An area man has been arrested on a warrant for threatening to hurt a woman and then stealing her purse. Eric Lapenna, 33, of Milford, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 12, by Milford Police, said the Milford Police.  Lapenna is accused of threatening to hurt a woman that was driving him from an appointment. The female exited the vehicle and Lapenna then grabbed her purse, got in the driver’s seat, and drove away in her vehicle in June 2020. He was charged with: Robbery Breach of peace Threatening Two counts of larceny Lapenna was held on a $20,000 bond.

Woman Accused Of Stealing Nearly $500 From Macy's In Northern Westchester A Northern Westchester woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing nearly $500 in goods from Macy's.  Maria Heras, 54, of Yorktown Heights, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 23, after Yorktown Police were called to the Macy's at the Jefferson Valley Mall for a report of shoplifting. When officers arrived on the scene they located Heras and an investigation into the incident found that she allegedly stole $484 worth of clothing from the store.  Heras was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket.

Police Department In Fairfield County Makes Much-Awaited Move To New Headquarters The Newtown Police Department has finally moved into their new headquarters, a move that's been planned for some 30 years. The new building, located in the old Tauton Press building, was started on Nov. 18, 2019, just a year from the move-in date.  The new 25,000-square-foot building cost $15 million and came in under budget. Henry Torrez Valerio, 50, of Copiague, was arrested Saturday, in North Babylon on Saturday, Nov. 21, around 4:15 p.m., after being stopped driving a 2005 Honda CRV westbound on Prairie Drive and failed to signal at the intersection of Chuck Boulevard, Suffolk County Police said.  During the stop, the officer checked Valerio’s license and found that it had been suspended 23 times on 14 different dates,  Suffolk County Police said.
