Trio Nabbed After Search Of Long Island Home Results In Seizure Of Drugs, Weapons Seized
Police arrested three residents of a Long Island home following a warrant search in which they seized drugs and weapons.
The warrant was executed around 6 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23, at a home at 51 Higgins St., in North Babylon, Suffolk County Police said.
During the search, police said a sizable quantity of crack, cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin were seized. Detectives also seized two illegal 9 mm handguns and more than $36,000 in cash.
Arrested included Levar Jackson, 41, Rhamel Stanford, 34, and Jaclyn Misuraca, all of North Babylon.

Two Charged For Shooting Death Of 12-Year-Old Area Girl
The alleged killers of a 12-year-old girl in the area have been arrested by New York State Police.
Ulster County residents Gilbert Thomas, 24, and Robert James, 46 were arrested on Thursday, Dec. 24, for the shooting of D'Janeira Mason, in Kingston on Thursday, Dec. 17, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
During the incident, her 10-year-old brother was also shot in the arm.
The children were shot while inside their home at 60 Van Buren St. around 8 p.m. when shots were fired into the house, police said.

Popular Westchester Pizzeria Announces Closure Of One Of Its Locations
Another popular pizzeria with locations in Westchester and Fairfield County has announced it's closing one of its eateries during these times of COVID-19.
The Coals Pizza location at 35 N. Main St., in Port Chester, is scheduled for closure on Wednesday, Dec. 30, Coals announced on Facebook.

ID Released For UPS Driver Assaulted, Killed In Connecticut
Connecticut State Police have released the identity of a UPS driver killed by a man who assaulted him on Route 8.
Nathan D. Burk, 28, of Waterbury, was killed around 10:36 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, in Litchfield County on Route 8 northbound near Exit 37 in Watertown, said state police.
Troopers discovered Bruk, who is an employee with UPS after members of Troop L in Litchfield originally responded to a reported vehicle crash involving a UPS shipping truck, said state police.

Man Allegedly Threatens To Shoot Patrons, Employees Of Fairfield County Restaurant, Police Say
A Fairfield County man who was out on bond on assault charges was arrested again after threatening to shoot and kill everyone in a local restaurant, Bridgeport Police said.
According to the Bridgeport police, Antonio Silva, 53, was arrested on Monday, Dec. 21, after refusing to leave Brasa's Restaurant in Bridgeport at 1439 Madison Ave., and then made threats to get his gun and shoot everyone inside,
Silva was banned from the restaurant at the time due to previous incidents, said Scott Appleby, director of the Bridgeport Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security.

Norwalk Man Arrested On Warrant For DUI Following Earlier Two-Vehicle Crash In Westport
A Fairfield County man was arrested on a warrant for DUI involving a two-vehicle crash that took place earlier this year.
Jorge Sosa, 47, of Norwalk, was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 20, by Westport Police in connection with a crash that took place on Tuesday, April 21, in the area of 30 Charles Street, in Westport.
During the crash, both cars were traveling westbound on Charles Street when Sosa's vehicle struck the other from behind, Westport PD Lt. Anthony Prezioso said.
