Man Nabbed Stealing More Than $3K In Items From Fairfield County Businesses
An area man has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $3,000 worth of cigarettes from two businesses.
Clinton Edwards, 50, of New Haven, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 18, by Fairfield Police on a warrant for the thefts that took place in June in Fairfield, said Lt. Antonio Granata.
According to Granata, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at Walgreens, located at 414 Kings Highway East in Fairfield on Monday, June 22.

A man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a Northern Westchester home and assaulting a resident inside.
Anthony Vukel, 27, of Mohegan Lake, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec 22, by Yorktown Police for the incident which took place on Sunday, Nov. 1, police said.
According to police, on Sunday, Nov. 1, the Yorktown Police responded to a home on the report of an assault. When police arrived on the scene they found that Vukel had allegedly unlawfully broken into the home, stole property, and assaulted a person inside the residence.

Woman Charged In Connection With Stabbing Death Of Man In Fairfield County
A woman was charged with manslaughter after allegedly stabbing to death a man she was previously involved with at her Fairfield County home, according to police.
Anissa Maples, age 48, of Stamford, was arrested after 3;14 a.m., Saturday, after officers responded to her home at 246 Montauk Drive for a report of a man causing a disturbance and refusing to leave, said Stamford PD Lt. Tom Scanlon.
While officers were responding to the scene, an additional call was received from Maples, reporting that she had stabbed the man, identified as Welton Harris, Scanlon said.

Police are investigating a larceny at a Fairfield County country club that included the theft of paychecks, gift cards, face masks, and toilet paper.
The incident was reported by the Woodway Country Club to Darien police around 3:01 p.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 16, said Sgt. James Palmieri.

Man Nabbed For Series Of Long Island Commercial Burglaries
Police have arrested a man in connection with a string of Long Island business burglaries.
Anthony Livieri, 49, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 23, for an alleged burglary that took place around 5:11 a.m., at a grocery store in Woodmere, Nassau County said.
According to detectives, an off-duty Nassau County officer was driving home from work when he observed a burglary in progress at S & S Woodmere Inc., located at 1064 Broadway.

Stamford Duo Nabbed For Drugs In Fairfield Warrant Search
Two area men were busted with drugs during a warrant search by Fairfield County police.
Jaydeh Brayboy, 19, and Jerry Salaahudiyn, 36, both of Stamford, were arrested on Sunday, Dec. 20 by members of the Stamford Police Narc Unit during a warrant search, said Capt. Richard Conklin.
According to Conklin, Narc Unit members had been investigating the two men for the sale of drugs for quite some time before the warrant was served.
Salaahudiyn was busted with the alleged sale of a crack to an undercover officer. When busted, he had more than $,000 in cash, Conklin said.
