She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Know This Vehicle? Police Searching For Men Who Stole From Long Island Market Police are investigating a robbery of a Long Island market in which an employee was threatened. The incident took place around 8:40 a.m., Friday, Dec. 25, at the Bolla Market, located at 2155 Linden Boulevard in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, two men entered the market and approached the beer section. Each man grabbed four cases of beer and exited the store without paying, police said. Packages Of 30-Plus Victims Found At Accused Westchester Porch Pirate's Home, Police Say A Westchester County man was arrested for allegedly stealing packages off the porches of more than 30 homes. Everett Shaw was arrested after he was caught stealing a package off a porch in Mount Vernon, said News 12. When Mount Vernon police searched Shaw's home, they said they found packages belonging to more than 30 victims. All of the packages were allegedly stolen over the last few weeks, News 12 said. Shaw is being held at the county jail on numerous charges including burglary, possession of stolen property, and larceny.

Man Found Walking Through CT Neighborhood Allegedly Stabbed Himself, Police Say A man found walking through a Connecticut neighborhood had allegedly stabbed himself. The man was found around 8 a.m., Monday, Dec. 28, in New Haven County after the Derby Police Department received a call regarding a man walking on Francis Street with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds to his torso, police said. Due to conflicting stories from the victim, a neighborhood canvas was conducted. Preliminary evidence suggests the wounds were self-inflicted, police said. An ambulance transported the man to Bridgeport Hospital where he is reportedly in stable condition.

Long Island Woman In Critical Condition After Being Hit By SUV In Parking Lot A Long Island woman is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle while walking in a parking lot. The incident took place around noon on Monday, Dec. 28 in Plainview, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, a 63-year-old woman was walking in the parking lot of 401 South Oyster Bay Road when she was struck by an SUV. The female was transported to an area hospital with serious head trauma and is currently in critical condition. The operator of the SUV remained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

ID Released For Man Killed In Sprain Brook Parkway Crash In Westchester A man killed in a fatal crash on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Westchester has been identified by state police. It was one of two crashes that took place around 1 a.m., Monday, Dec. 28, in the town of Greenburgh, said Trooper AJ Hicks. The cause of the collisions and the events leading up to the two separate crashes involving three vehicles is still under investigation. Six Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle I-84 Crash Six people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on a stretch of I-84. The crash took place around 9 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 28, on I-84 in Danbury, said James Gagliardo, public information officer for the Danbury Fire Department. The crash, which required the extrication of three people from one vehicle, took place between Exits 4 and 5, Gagliardo said. ID Released For Man Killed In Crash On Newburgh-Beacon Bridge As Police Search For Driver New York State Police have identified a man who was killed after being hit by a tractor-trailer on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge as they search for the vehicle and driver involved. Two Nabbed In Connection With Early-Morning Long Island Restaurant Burglary Two people are in custody following a burglary at a Long Island restaurant. The two were nabbed around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 28, following the break-in at The Shed, located at 21 Main Street in West Sayville, said the Suffolk County Police.
