She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Fairfield County Man With Active Warrants Fails To Appear For Sex Assault Hearing, Police Say A Fairfield County man who had two active warrants for an alleged sexual assault was arrested in New Haven County. Prince Carter, age 45, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 23, by Milford Police for the incident which occurred earlier this month. Carter is accused of failing to appear in court on Wednesday stemming from a Milford arrest earlier this month for sexual assault. He is also accused of violating his court set probation. Carter was charged with failure to appear and violation of probation. He is being held on a $75,000 bond.

New Police Chief Appointed In Carmel The town of Carmel has a new police chief after a long search. The Town Board unanimously selected Anthony Hoffmann to the post, effective Monday, Jan. 4. Hoffmann, who was one of five candidates interviewed, has worked in law enforcement for 22 years, starting with the New York City Police Department in 1998. He joined the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department in 2002 and was promoted to lieutenant in 2018. He will take over for former Police Chief Mike Cazzari who retired earlier this year. Police Investigation Underway After Black Lives Matter Yard Sign Is Defaced In Westchester Police are investigating an incident involving the defacing of a Black Lives Matter yard sign in Westchester. Dobbs Ferry police said they received a complaint on Sunday, Dec. 13, from the village's Human Rights and Diversity Committee. Although the investigation is still active, Dobbs Ferry PD Lt. Martin Coster said there was no new information to report. According to Coster, the sign, which was on the lawn of a family home, along with others on the street, had the word "Black" marked out and was replaced with the word "All." Two In Custody Following TD Bank Robbery In Fairfield County A man and a juvenile are in custody following the robbery of a TD Bank in Fairfield County. Police received notice of the crime around 4:58 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23, when the Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from TD Bank, on Main Street, along with a bank tracker alert indicating a party just robbed the bank. Mexican National Connected To CT Drug Ring Sentenced A Mexican national connected to a large Connecticut drug ring has been sentenced to prison. Lorenzo Morales-Arambula, also known as “Viejo,” 59, a citizen of Mexico, was sentenced Tuesday, Dec. 22, to 156 months of imprisonment for trafficking cocaine and heroin, said U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut John Durham. 11-Year-Old Girl Killed In Fatal Police Chase Crash In Hudson Valley An 11-year-old girl who was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a police pursuit was killed when the car crashed in the Hudson Valley. Police Seek Public's Help In Violent CT Gas Station Robbery A Connecticut gas station attendant was assaulted during an armed robbery by multiple suspects, according to police. Police Searching For Suspect After A Long Island TD Bank Is Robbed For Second Straight Day Police are searching for a suspect after a Long Island TD bank was robbed for the second day in a row. The latest robbery took place around 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the bank located at 6060 Brush Hollow Road in Westbury, Nassau County Police said. Man Found Slumped Behind Wheel With Hazard Lights On Busted For DUI In Darien, Police Say A Fairfield County man who had pulled off to the side of a roadway with his hazard lights on was busted for DUI after police found him slumped behind the wheel asleep.
