Kathy Reaks has worked as a reporter in the local news business since 1984, starting as a news clerk and working her way up. She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Covid-19: These CT Testing Sites Don't Require An Appointment For those needing a COVID-19 test, Community Health Center is offering sites statewide that do not require an appointment.  In addition to not needing an appointment state officials said you do not have to be exhibiting symptoms to receive the tests. Massive Fire Causes Heavy Damage To Two Long Island Homes Firefighters battled a massive fire that ripped through two Long Island homes overnight. Alert Issued For Long Island Girl Who's Been Missing For A Week Police are asking the public for help locating a missing Long Island teen who has not been seen in seven days. Alisha Mingot, 15, was last seen on Tuesday, Dec. 15 leaving her Valley Stream home around 12:01 a.m., Nassau County Police said. She was reported missing to police on Monday, Dec., 21.
