CT Man Admits Having Unregistered Firearms
A New Haven man waived his right to a trial and pleaded guilty to possessing unregistered firearms.
Rapheal Dancer, 38, of Wallingford, waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty on Thursday, Dec. 17, to possessing unregistered firearms, in violation of the National Firearms Act, said John Durham, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Former State Senator Dies From Injuries Sustained In Fairfield County Crash
Eight days after he was critically injured in a Fairfield County vehicle crash, former State Senator Edwin Gomes has died from his injuries.
Gomes, who was injured in the Dec. 13 crash, died on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
The crash took place around 6:53 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, at the intersection of Boston Avenue and Noble Avenue in Bridgeport, said Bridgeport Police Captain Kevin Gilleran.

Alert Issued For Long Island Girl Who's Been Missing For A Week
Police are asking the public for help locating a missing Long Island teen who has not been seen in seven days.
Alisha Mingot, 15, was last seen on Tuesday, Dec. 15 leaving her Valley Stream home around 12:01 a.m., Nassau County Police said.
She was reported missing to police on Monday, Dec., 21.
According to detectives, Mingot is described as being Hispanic, 5’2” tall, 110 pounds, with long curly black hair, blue eyes and wears braces.
Her clothing description and probable destination are unknown.
