Teen Hit, Robbed Female Victim In Wallkill, Police Say A Middletown teen was arrested Wednesday for robbing a woman sitting in a car after striking her in the face, according to the town of Wallkill Police. The arrest of Keyaira Carter, 18, stems from an incident that took place around 10 p.m. Dec. 22, when Wallkill Police Office Julia Ashworth responded to a report of a robbery on Maple Field Drive, said Chief Robert Hertman. Walkway Over Hudson Will Suspend Elevator Service Those looking to start the New Year off right by joining the annual First Day Hike at the Walkway Over the Hudson should take note that elevator service at the bridge will be suspended on Jan. 1 for the winter months. Residual Traffic On TZB After Lanes Reopen Following Crash There is residual traffic on the southbound (Westchester-bound) new Tappan Zee Bridge span after two lanes reopened following a late Thursday afternoon crash. The crash occurred midspan shortly before 4 p.m., initially shutting down the two lanes and backing up traffic well into Rockland County, officials said. Pine Plains Man Nabbed For Robbing Neighbor, Sheriff Says A 26-year-old Dutchess County man is behind bars for forcibly robbing his neighbor of $40 in cash while at their home, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office. Zachary MacIssac of Pine Plains was arrested at 6 p.m. Tuesday after sheriff deputies responded to a home on Hillside Village Road in Pine Plains for a report of a neighbor dispute, said Capt. Woman Nabbed Shoplifting $2,216 In Makeup At Palisades Mall, Police Say A 29-year-old woman was nabbed shoplifting more than $2,000 worth of makeup by a store security guard at the Palisades Mall in Nyack, Clarkstown Police said. Alyssa Roberts of Montgomery was caught around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 27 at the Sephora store, according to Clarkstown Police spokesman Peter Walker.
