Police Chief Armando Perez said he had little choice but to fire Officer Omar Jimenez, 34, following an Internal Affairs investigation into the September 24, 2016, incident. Tractor-Trailers Get Stuck In Snow After Violating I-84 Travel Ban Despite a ban of all tractor-trailers on all major thruways, several drivers waited for state police to leave I-84 in the East Fishkill area and then became stuck in the snow, according to state police. According to Trooper AJ Hicks, multiple truck drivers waited until State Troopers stopped writing tickets and then snuck onto the I-84 and became stuck. Mahopac Falls Firefighters Save Family's Home A Mahopac Falls family were able to stay in their home following a fire Tuesday thanks to the quick work of firefighters. The fire, at 85 Concord Drive, started around 1:30 p.m. on the outside of the home, said officials with the Mahopac Falls Fire Department. Clarkstown Police Mourn Death Of Retired Officer The Clarkstown Police Department is mourning the loss of a longtime member of the department who died on Sunday. Retired Police Officer Greg Tobin died peacefully at home in West Nyack. Tobin served with the department from 1982 until his retirement in 2005. His son Greg Tobin is carrying on the tradition as a current member of the department.
