Route 202 Stretch Closed For Nyseg Work Motorists should take note that a stretch of Route 202 is closed until 3 p.m. for NYSEG to conduct work. The closure, which began at 11 a.m. Friday is between Lake Road and Route118 in Somers.  NYSEG workers are replacing power poles in the area.

Bridgeport Man Arrested For 2010 Norwalk Murder A Bridgeport man was arrested on Thursday for the 2010 murder of Norwalk resident Karl "K-Dot" Savage, according to Norwalk police. David McBride, 33, of Bridgeport, was taken into custody and charged with the murder of Savage, said Norwalk Police Lt. Central Hudson Power Outages Down To Less Than 2.5K Central Hudson Gas & Electric is reporting that nearly 95 percent of customers impacted by Wednesday’s winter storm, currently have power as crews continue to repair damage throughout the Hudson Valley. Teen Driver Charged In Man’s Death On I-84 A Sandy Hook teen has been arrested in the death of a pedestrian on I-84 last May, according to the Connecticut State Police. Michael Alan Vitti, 19, was charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, failure to drive in the proper lane and distracted driving (not a cellphone), according to state police. Power Outages Now Hitting 27 Percent Of New Canaan As more than 27 percent of New Canaan residents continue to deal with power outages, officials are warning that downed power lines continue to be a problem as trees tumble.
