Man Extricated From Trash Chute In Fairfield County A man was injured after becoming stuck in a garbage chute at a Bridgeport building, according to Bridgeport Fire Department. Greenwich Police Arrest Man For Leaving Scene Of Crash Police nabbed a Westchester man for leaving the scene of a traffic crash on East Putnam Avenue in Greenwich. Daniel Serpa-Goncalves de Silveira, 41, of Port Chester, turned himself into police on Sunday for leaving the scene of an accident on Feb. 4, police said. Winfil Germosen, 28, was charged Monday with assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment after a Stony Point officer on patrol on Route 9W saw him having an argument with a woman, said Lt. Driver Extricated After Tree Falls On Pickup Truck In New Canaan New Cannan firefighters were able to save a pickup truck driver after a tree fell right on his windshield, trapping him in the vehicle.The incident happened around 3 p.m., March 2 when the driver was on Canoe Hill Road, said New Cannan Fire Chief Jack Hennessey. The driver was able to be pulled out by firefighters using the jaws of life, the chief said.  "Luckily, considering how severe the accident was, the driver received non-life threatening injuries," Hennessey said. Assisting at the incident included the New Canaan Police and the Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
