Man Charged With Assault After MidHudson Hospital Reports Attack A 23-year-old Hyde Park man was arrested on assault charges after police responded to the MidHudson Regional Hospital for a report that a man had been attacked. According to New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski, both were stolen on Thursday, April 13, from driveways on Valley Road. The incident took place on Thursday, April 12, when employees from the store called the police to report that three shoplifting suspects from the week before had returned to the store, police said. Trapped Dog, Man Rescued In Fairfield County A frisky dog chasing a swan ended up having to be saved, along with a man, by members of the Shelton Fire Department. The rescue took place Saturday morning after the dog chased after a swan, and the man chasing the dog became trapped in muddy waters. Worker Dies After Falling From Tree In Fairfield County A worker from a local tree removal company died after falling from a tree that he was removing from the property of a Trumbull home. Eris Banegas-Gomes, 28, of Bridgeport, was wearing a safety harness around 9 a.m. Saturday, as he climbed the tree to a height of about 45 feet at the Pinewood Trail home, police said.  He then began removing the top portion of the tree, when the tree broke off at its base.
