Man Driving Drunk Resists Arrest, Bites Officer In Area A 28-year-old man is behind bars after he punched and bit an area police officer and injured another. Rony Ariel Ramos-Perez of Wappingers Falls was arrested for aggravated DWI, felony assault, resisting arrest, and other charges, around 10 p.m. Saturday, May 19, following a traffic stop, said Town of Poughkeepsie Capt. Kevin Faber. Man Threatens To Shoot Bank Employees In Hudson Valley A man who threatened to shoot employees at a Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union bank was nabbed by police for making terroristic threats, according to the Wallkill Police Department. Paul Martin, 54, of Bloomington, was arrested after Wallkill Police received a report around 4 p.m. Thursday, May 24, of a disturbance at the bank at 40 Lloyds Lane, said Wallkill Police Chief Robert Hertman. Car Crashes Into Stone Wall In Mahopac Traffic was backed up on Long Pond Road in Mahopac due to a car crashing into a stone wall, according to the Mahopac Fire Department. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. Thursday when the driver swerved, crossed the road and hit the stone wall, ripping off a door of the vehicle, officials said. The driver received minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital. Multiple departments responded to the crash including Mahopac Fire and EMS, multiple units from Carmel Police, and paramedics from EMStar.

Man Takes State Police On High-Speed I-84 Chase With Flat Tire A man wanted for a domestic violence assault and shooting took Connecticut State Police on a high-speed chase on I-84 at speeds reaching 95 mph with a flat tire for part of the chase. Hudson Valley Elementary School Teacher Indicted On Child Porn Charges A longtime Wappingers second-grade teacher, who was arrested by the New York State Police on child pornography charges in February, has been indicted by a grand jury, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney's office. Steven L. Greenwich Man Nabbed In Jail For Stealing Wallet Two Years Ago A Greenwich man was nabbed by Greenwich Police at the Westchester County Jail on an outstanding warrant for ripping off a wallet out of a car.
