DWI Driver Charged After BMW Crashes Into Hudson Valley House, Killing Two A drunk driver was charged with four counts of aggravated vehicular manslaughter in connection with a November crash into a home that killed two people, according to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Police Investigate Vehicle With Suspicious Device Blocking Fairfield Road A report of a suspicious car in Fairfield led to a road closure and a response from the bomb squad, according to Fairfield Police. The incident took place around 12:53 p.m. Tuesday when Fairfield police responded to a report of a suspicious car that was abandoned near Mill Plain Green, said Lt. Robert Kalamaras. Officers arrived to find the vehicle parked, blocking a portion of the roadway, with a suspicious device in plain view on the floorboard, Kalamaras said. Mastermind Of Fatal Brinks Robbery Denied Parole The mastermind of the fatal 1981 Brinks robbery in Nyack has been denied patrol again by the U.S. Parole Commission. Mutulu Shakur, 67, the stepfather of slain rapper Tupac Shakur, will have to wait until May 2020 before applying for parole again in connection with the robbery that left two Nyack police officers and an armored car guard dead, a spokesman for the U.S. Parole Commission said The families of the men killed on Oct. 20, 1981, have been notified, the commission confirmed. Stamford Man Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Two-Vehicle Crash A crash between a car and a motorcycle left a 24-year-old Stamford man with life-threatening injuries, marking the city's second serious crash involving a motorcycle in as many days. The collision occurred around 12:19 p.m. Tuesday on High Ridge Rd (Route 137) at Oaklawn Avenue, said Stamford Police Sgt. Andrew Gallagher. Woman Sucker Punches Patron, Assaults Off-Duty Cop At Bar, Stamford PD Says An off-duty Stamford police officer was punched in the jaw and a patron in the face after a woman bumped into another woman at a popular Harbor Point bar, according to the Stamford Police. Four Firefighters Injured After Blaze Breaks Out At Fairfield County Home Four Stratford firefighters were injured fighting a Canaan Road house fire early Tuesday, according to the Stratford Fire Department. Shortly after midnight, the department responded to 361 Canaan Road to find the rear of a three-story, multi-family dwelling engulfed in fire, said Deputy Chief, Fire Marshall Brain Lampart. Hudson Valley Man Arrested For Violating Protective Order Numerous Times Town of Poughkeepsie police arrested a local man for violating an order of protection on numerous occasions, according to police. Anthony Guzzardo, 28, of Hyde Park, was arrested Friday, May 18, after the Town of Poughkeepsie Police received a complaint from the victim that Guzzardo had come within 500 feet of their residence on numerous occasions, said Capt. Kevin Faber. Within a few hours of receiving the complaint, police were able to locate Guzzardo as a passenger in a vehicle, Faber said. Body Found Near Dutchess Community College Parking Lot The body of a man has been found near the Dutchess Community College parking lot off Creek Road, according to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department. Police found the man's body after receiving reports of an unresponsive male around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, said Capt. Kevin Faber. When officers and EMS personnel arrived it was determined the man was deceased, police said. Faber said that although the investigation is continuing, foul play is not suspected in the case. The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of his family members.

Three-Alarm House Fire Closes Road In Monroe A section of Mountainview Drive in Monroe is closed due to a three-alarm fire, according to New York State Police. The fire, which started around noon Tuesday at 282 Mountainview Drive, is being battled by firefighters from the Monroe Fire Department, along with several others. Three Nabbed In Danbury Drug Dealing Bust Danbury Police nabbed three men on a host of drug charges following a weeks-long investigation into drug sales throughout the Danbury area. The men, Raymond Newsome, 43, and Orlando Ellis, 27, both of Danbury, and Dylan Montana Griffing, 24, of New Milford, were arrested Thursday, May 24, following the investigation initiated after the Danbury Police Department received citizen's complaints regarding Ellis' illegal activity, said Lt.
