Victims Flee To Darien Police Station After Wilton Man Strikes Car Two victims of domestic violence fled to the Darien Police Station in an effort to escape their attacker after he rammed into their vehicle, according to Wilton Police. The incident took place around 9:29 a.m. Saturday when Steve A. Campbell, 38, of Wilton, attempted to pick up one of the victims at a Wilton home and while there got into an argument with the second victim, said Lt. Robert Kluk. Route 7 Reckless Driver Caught After Four-Town Chase That Ends In NY A Hudson Valley man who took police on a high-speed chase through four towns, three in Fairfield County, that finally ended with a crash in Putnam County has been arrested two years after the event. Daniel O'Brien, 38, of Liberty in Sullivan County turned himself into Wilton Police on May 29, after getting out of prison in connection with the chase that continued into New York and ended in Carmel, in Putnam County, according to the Wilton Police Department. Teen Arrested For Making 'Credible Threats' Against Hudson Valley School An 18-year-old has been arrested for making "credible threats" against his Hudson Valley high school, according to police. Brendan Vaughan, a student at Washingtonville High School in Orange County, was arrested following a search of his home by Washingtonville police along with the FBI, state police and Middletown police, police said. “Investigators discovered evidence in the home, and obtained a statement from the suspect, supporting information that he was in the planning stages of some sort of attack at the school, and posed a threat to public safety,” Washingtonville Police …

Police Pursue New Lead In Fatal Crash On Taconic State Parkway State police are asking for help locating a car that may have been racing a motorcycle on the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester County that ended with a fatal crash in late April. Scott V. McMahon, 27, of Yonkers, died in the crash around 7 p.m. April 28 near Exit 8 in the town of New Castle, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Two Nabbed After Year-Long Orange County Heroin Trafficking Investigation Two Orange County men are behind bars following a year-long investigation into heroin trafficking in the area, according to the City of Middletown Police. Middletown police said their Narcotics Unit served two no-knock search warrants at two residences along with help from the state police and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force. During the search, officers seized 4,131 bags of heroin, with a street value of more than $40,000, and $1,614 in cash. Details Emerge In Triple-Fatal Hudson Valley Crash Details have emerged on the horrific crash in which three people were killed when a car crashed into the front porch of a Hudson Valley home late Monday night. Two men and a woman were killed after the car plowed over a tree before bursting into flames and landing against the front porch of the home in Dutchess County, according to state police. Police Chase Starting In Newtown, Bridgeport Ends With Home Invasion A wild police chase that started in Newtown and continued through Bridgeport ended with a crash, a foot chase and a home invasion, according to Connecticut State Police. The incident began around 6:45 p.m. Monday when Troop A was notified by the Bridgeport and Newtown police departments that they were in pursuit of a 2014 white Honda Accord that was wanted for transporting firearms, state police said. Stamford Woman Charged With Stalking Victim In Wilton For Months A Stamford woman was arrested by Wilton Police for stalking a victim over a four-month period, according to Wilton Police. The 43-year-old was arrested by Stamford Police on Friday on a warrant out of Wilton, said Lt. Robert Kluk. According to the arrest report, the woman had harassed the victim by emailing, calling and texting the person more than 5,000 times over the four-month time period. She was transported to the Wilton Police Department were she was charged with stalking and harassment and released on bail.

Woman Sentenced For Crash That Results In Man's Death In Hudson Valley An area woman has been sentenced to three to nine years in prison for her part in the death of a 77-year-old man during a crash after she suffered a seizure. Leigh Carney, 48, was sentenced Thursday following her guilty plea to manslaughter for driving with a suspended driver's license after an earlier seizure-induced crash. On Jan. 26, 2017, while driving a Mini Cooper in the area of Clark Place and Highland Avenue in the Village of Maybrook in Orange County, Carney experienced a seizure. Roadway In Harrison Reopens Following Serious Two-Vehicle Crash This story has been updated. North Street (Route 127) in Harrison has reopened following a serious two-vehicle crash that has closed the roadway for several hours, police said. The crash, between a Boar's Head box truck and a car, occurred around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, trapping one of the driver's completely, officials said.
