Police: Woman Attempts To Stab Ex-Boyfriend At Fairfield County Mall A 20-year-old woman wielding a steak knife attempted to stab her ex-boyfriend while he was at work at the Trumbull Mall, police said. The event unfolded on Thursday, May 31, when Janaya Bennett of Bridgeport arrived at a store in the Trumbull Mall where her boyfriend was opening for the day, said Trumbull Police Lt. Keith Golding. 29-Year-Old Rockland Man Pleads Guilty To Rape A 29-year-old man pleaded guilty to felony rape in connection with a violent attack in Spring Valley last year. Holger Lema-Yaucan, of Brooklyn, made the plea Wednesday in the Sept. 9, admitting that he forcibly engaged in sexual intercourse with a woman with whom he had an intimate relationship with inside her home, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas P. Hudson Valley Man Killed When Tire Flies Off Box Truck On I-95 A 25-year-old Hudson Valley man died when a tire flew off a box truck on I-95, bounced across traffic and landed on top of his small SUV-type vehicle. Joseu Alfonso Cala of Tuxedo Park was driving north on I-95 when the deadly crash occurred shortly before 6:15 p.m. Tuesday on I-95 near Commercial Boulevard in Oakland Park, Fla., according to Lt. Ages Released Of Triple-Fatal Hudson Valley Crash Victims New York State Police are awaiting forensic results before releasing the names of the three people who died in a horrific crash when their vehicle crashed into the front porch of a Hudson Valley home. Brewster Fire Department Mourns Loss Of Beloved Chaplain Richard J. Bailey, Sr., the longtime chaplain of the Brewster Fire Department, died Sunday, June 3, at home. Bailey, 87, of Dover Plains, also worked for years as a tree surgeon at Coffin Tree Service in Tarrytown. Born on February 18, 1931, in Danbury, he was the son of the late Myron A. and Blanche Bailey. He was married to Cynthia L. Ashby Bailey who predeceased him. Victims Flee To Darien Police Station After Wilton Man Strikes Car Two victims of domestic violence fled to the Darien Police Station in an effort to escape their attacker after he rammed into their vehicle, according to Wilton Police. Route 7 Reckless Driver Caught After Four-Town Chase That Ends In NY A Hudson Valley man who took police on a high-speed chase through four towns, three in Fairfield County, that finally ended with a crash in Putnam County has been arrested two years after the event. Teen Arrested For Making 'Credible Threats' Against Hudson Valley School An 18-year-old has been arrested for making "credible threats" against his Hudson Valley high school, according to police. Police Pursue New Lead In Fatal Crash On Taconic State Parkway State police are asking for help locating a car that may have been racing a motorcycle on the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester County that ended with a fatal crash in late April. Scott V. McMahon, 27, of Yonkers, died in the crash around 7 p.m. April 28 near Exit 8 in the town of New Castle, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
