In an effort to slow down speeders, the city's police department recently installed an electronic speed indicator sign to remind driver's how fast they are traveling. The sign is located on Main Street near the Stop & Shop at Route 6 where the speed limit drops from 25 mph to 15 mph. Ridgefield, Danbury Schools Get State OK To Make Up Storm Days In 2018-19 The Danbury and Ridgefield school districts have been given the okay to make up missed school days next year from state officials.  All schools are required to be in session for 180 days, said Danbury Schools Superintendent Sal Pascarella.  All except three of his 18 district schools only need to make up one day of school, the others need to make up two days, he said.  The days need to be made-up next year because schools are required to end the school year by June 29, he added. State Police Seize More Than 3,000 Pills In I-95 Stop Connecticut State Police nabbed a man with more than 3,000 MDMA pills and pot following a traffic stop on I-95. The incident took place around 2:50 p.m. Sunday on I-95 in West Haven when Trooper Robert Garbalosa stopped of Anthony Pierre, 47, of Decatur, Georgia, for talking on the cell phone while driving, said Trooper Kelly Grant.  During the stop, Garbolsa developed probable cause to search the vehicle and uncovered 3,3000 MDMA pill and 4.7 grams of marijuana, state police said.
