She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Funeral Set For Ex-Stamford HS Football Player Killed Under I-95 Overpass A funeral has been scheduled for the 18-year-old former high school football standout who was gunned down on Thursday, May 31 by an unknown person under the I-95 overpass. Antonio Shai Robinson was born on Sept. 4, 1999, in Stamford, to Antonio A. Robinson and Ulonda Michelle Warren, Robinson was was just weeks away from graduating from Stamford Academy. His family has said he was killed while walking to an area basketball court to play a game with a friend. Two Westchester Firefighters Charged In Separate Assaults With Injuries Two members of the Yonkers Fire Department were charged in separate assaults that injured several people, according to police. One of the firefighters lives in Westchester County, one in Orange County. According to the Yonkers Police Department, on Monday around 2 a.m. officers responded to Rory Dolan's Bar & Restaurant at 890 McLean Ave. on a report of a fight with an injured party. Police Seize 300 Pounds Of Pot At Six Hudson Valley Grow Houses A house fire led to the discovery of six marijuana grow houses and the seizure of more than 300 pounds of pot in two Hudson Valley counties. The operations were uncovered on Wednesday, June 6, when members of the Town of Marlborough Police and Fire departments responded to a structure fire at 212 Bingham Lane in Marlboro, said the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. Fairfield County Woman Threatens To Kill Family Member, Police Say A Fairfield County woman was arrested after she threatened to kill a family member who lived in a home with her, according to Fairfield Police. Melissa McMillan, 46, of Fairfield, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening after police were called to the home for a domestic dispute, said Lt. Robert Kalamaras. When police arrived they found McMillan, who had been drinking for hours, yelling and refusing to leave the house. Stamford Woman's Death A Homicide, Police Now Say Stamford police are confirming that the death of a local woman who was found covered in blood was a homicide. Capt. Richard Conklin said they are searching for clues and interviewing everyone connected with Eden Claxton, 74, who was found dead around 8:30 a.m. Monday on Hycliff Terrace. The woman's husband, Allen Claxton, 75, was at the home at the time of her death and is being questioned, along with numerous other people, said Conklin. Officers Respond Quickly, Save Life Of Woman After High Ridge Road 911 Call Two Stamford police officers helped save a woman's life by performing CPR while she was suffering a heart attack, according to the Stamford Police. The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when a 52-year-old woman stopped her vehicle on High Ridge Road after she began feeling sick, said Sgt. Kenneth Jarrett. Hudson Valley Teacher Apologizes For Now Deleted Facebook Post A Hudson Valley teacher is apologizing for a statement he made on Facebook addressing the recent controversies surrounding comments by talk show host Samantha Bee and comedian Roseanne Barr. Crash Involving Reckless Driver Sends Five To Stamford Hospital A Stamford man was charged with causing an accident that sent five people to the hospital, according to the Stamford Police. The crash occurred around 7 p.m. Sunday when Kadeem Sadio, 28, was speeding southbound on Hope Street when he slammed into a vehicle pulling out of Donut Delight, said Sgt. Kenneth Jarrett. Fairfield Man Driving Under Influence Caught With Drugs In Wilton A Fairfield man was busted for driving while under the influence and drug possession after police watched him blast through a stop sign in Wilton. Lucas Salazar, 26, was arrested 2:30 a.m. Sunday after officers observed him driving over the double yellow line on Ridgefield Road and then failed to stop at the stop sign on Center Street, said Wilton Police.
