Suspect On Loose After Shooting One, Slashing Another In Westchester Police are on the hunt for a suspect who shot one man and slashed another during a dispute in broad daylight in Westchester. The incident took place around 4 p.m. Tuesday at 47 Riverdale Ave., in Yonkers, when the dispute escalated into violence, said Yonkers Police Det. Sgt. Dean Politopoulos. Politopoulos said he could confirm there is one victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the leg that is non-life-threatening, and one victim of a slashing that also resulted in non-life-threatening injuries. Man, 23, Charged With Stealing From Lockers At Westport YMCA A 23-year-old man was busted for stealing from lockers at the Westport YMCA on several occasions, according to the Westport Police. Westport Police were alerted to the thefts for the first time on Jan. 29 after receiving an online report of larceny from the Westport Weston YMCA, said Lt. Jillian Cabana. Man Caught With Heroin Near School Zone In Rockland A Rockland County man was busted with 13 decks of heroin near a school zone following a traffic stop, according to the Stony Point Police. Nicholas Pagliuca, 41, of Stony Point, was arrested Thursday, June 14, when officers stopped Pagliuca for speeding in a school zone on Route 210 in Stony Point, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. During a search following the stop, Pagliuca was found to be in possession of heroin and a hypodermic instrument, Hylas said. New Canaan Car Theft Suspects Caught Near Trumbull Mall An electronic tracking device led police to two car thieves and a vehicle stolen out of New Canaan in a parking lot at the Trumbull Mall.
