She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Police Probe Residential Robbery In Orange County The Town of Newburgh Police Department is investigating a report of a residential robbery on Mill Street in the north end of the town.  The investigation is in the very early stages Thursday morning and no other specific information was available for release at this time, said Lt. Man Airlifted To Westchester Medical Center Dies After Single-Car Crash A 44-year-old man who was airlifted to an area hospital following a single-vehicle crash has died. Christopher M. Baxter, of Staatsburg, died from his injuries once he arrived at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, according to Capt. John Watterson with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Female Swimmer Dies From Injuries Suffered In Candlewood Lake Accident A 38-year-old woman involved in a boating accident on Squantz Pond in New Fairfield has died from her injuries. Wanda Tirado of Waterbury, a swimmer from a boat, was hit around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at Squantz Pond on Candlewood Lake and suffered critical injuries, said Chris Collibee, with the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Tirado died around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday from the injuries sustained, Collibee said. 17-Year-Old Drowns While Swimming In Hudson Valley Lake A 17-year-old area teen drowned while swimming in Rondout Creek in High Falls, despite an attempt at rescue by a special water-rescue team.  Christopher Pelaez of Wallkill was recovered Tuesday around noon by officers from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office.
