Numerous Car Burglaries, One Stolen Vehicle Reported In Wilton Car burglars were on the move in Wilton overnight with police reporting numerous burglaries in the northern part of the town. Most the burglaries took place Monday evening on Ridgefield Road, Mountain Road, Millstone Road, and Hickory Hill Road, in the northern part of Wilton, said Wilton Police Lt. Bear Struck, Killed On Highway In Fairfield County A bear was struck and killed by a vehicle on I-84 in Newtown on Saturday, causing minor injuries to the occupants.  According to Chris Collibee, a spokesman for DEEP,  the department was notified by the state police that the 80-pound untagged bear was hit around 7 p.m. on the westbound side of the roadway.
