Police responded to the Mobil Mart station at 300 Bridgeport Ave. in Milford for a burglar alarm call around midnight Monday, said Milford Officer Joseph Dempsey. Man Attempting To Hang Himself Rescued In Milford, Police Say A Milford police officer saved a man who attempted to hang himself after calling the police, the department said on Twitter. According to the Milford Police Department, the department received a call around 9 a.m. from a resident who said they were considering harming themselves, the Twitter post said. Detectives from the Bridgeport Police Fugitive Task Force arrested Shardel Ragin, 30, of Asylum Street in Bridgeport for the May 24, shooting death of Willie Nance, 26, of Bridgeport, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. ID Released For Victim Of Fatal Pomona Home Fire Police have identified the victim of the fatal Pomona home fire on Quaker Road early Wednesday. According to lohud.com, Don Gaston, 63,  the owner of the one-story home, died in the blaze that caused significant damage to the structure.
