Man Under Influence Attempts To Switch Seats, Greenwich Police Say A man who was trying to pull off a switch-a-roo so he wouldn't be caught driving under the influence has been charged, according to Greenwich Police. Scott Hyman, 26, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 4 a.m. Monday after officers watched as he strayed from his lane, nearly hitting the curbs on East Putnam Avenue, the arrest report said. After pulling the vehicle over in a parking lot, the officer watched as Hyman switched seats with the passenger, the report said. ID Released For Victim Of Fatal Pomona Home Fire Police have identified the victim of the fatal Pomona home fire on Quaker Road early Wednesday. According to lohud.com, Don Gaston, 63, the owner of the one-story home, died in the blaze that caused significant damage to the structure. The fire was reported around 3:03 a.m. at 286 Quaker Road, according to Hillcrest Fire Company No. 1. When firefighters arrived on scene flames were spreading outside the back of the house to the roof. Three From Bridgeport Face Drug Charges In Milford Three Bridgeport residents face drug charges after being nabbed by Milford Police in two separate arrests. Richard Smith, 31, was arrested Monday, July 9 on three warrants for drug sales in August 2017 following an investigation by the Milford Police Department's Tactical Unit, as well as the Bridgeport DEA Office, the department said. The investigation found that Smith was selling narcotics within Milford and surrounding towns, police said. Two Nabbed In Hudson Valley Home Invasion Two men were nabbed in a home invasion in which they allegedly stole numerous items, said police. The incident took place around 9:44 p.m. Saturday, July 7, when the men forced their way into a residence on East Lane in the Village of Wesley Hills, Ramapo Police Det. Sgt. Brian Corbett said. Man Called 911 From Event In Area Threatening To Kill People, Police Say A man who called 911 from an event in the area has been charged with threatening to "kill people," according to the Ramapo Police Department. The event took place in Airmont around 12:21 p.m. Saturday, July 7, when Ramapo dispatch received a 911 call from an unknown man via cellphone that threatened to "start killing people," said Det. Serious Crash Causes Route 123 Closure In New Canaan This story has been updated. A single-vehicle crash caused the closure of a stretch of Route 123 in New Canaan on Friday afternoon. just after noon on Friday Route 123 (Smith Ridge Road) was closed between Country Club Road and North Wilton Road. Teen Arrested For Brutal Stamford Beating, Robbery A man wanted for a brutal beating and robbery was nabbed during a raid of a small apartment where he was hiding out, Stamford Police said. Damani Morales, 19, of Stamford was arrested for the March 10 armed robbery of a 39-year-old man on the corner of Stillwater Avenue and Virgil Street that landed the victim in the hospital with serious injuries, said Stamford Police Capt. Missing Greenwich Woman Found New update: The 90-year-old woman who went missing Thursday morning was located in the evening and is safe. Original report: Greenwich police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing 90-year-old resident who has not been seen since early Thursday. Bridgeport Train Collision Delays New Haven Line This story has been updated. A collision between two trains in Bridgeport has delayed train service up to 10 to 15 minutes on the New Haven line. The crash, which occurred around 1:42 Thursday, took place at 525 Water St., between a work locomotive and a passenger train that was out of service when one ran into the back of the other at a very low speed, said MTA officials.
