Wallkill Man Charged With Punching Man, Stealing iPhone A 20-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing an iPhone from a town resident after punching him, along with several other people, according to police.Jah-Quan Williams of Wallkill was arrested Friday, July 13, around 6:30 p.m. by Town of Wallkill Det. Christopher DiNapoli and Officer Robert Reid following an investigation that determined he was one of several people involved in the attack on May 31, police said. Williams was charged with felony robbery and petty larceny and is being held at the Orange County Jail on $3,000 cash/$10,000 bond.

Storm Knocks Out Power To More Than 1K In Rockland As thunderstorm and heavy rains move through the area more than 1,00 customers have lost power in Rockland County. As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, Orange & Rockland is reporting seven outages with an estimated 1,050 customers affected. A check of the numbers shows they fluctuate as new outages occur or older ones are repaired. Company officials are saying that most should be repaired by 8 p.m. Tuesday. Route 202 Down To One Lane Following Rollover Crash Traffic is being diverted to one lane on Bear Mountain Bridge Road at Route 202 following a three-vehicle crash that involved a rollover. The crash occurred around 2:23 p.m. Tuesday on Route 202, said New York State Trooper A.J. Hicks. According to Hicks, there were several minor injuries resulting from the crash. Daniel McInerney, of Blooming Grove, was sentenced by Orange County Court Judge Craig Stephen Brown after pleading guilty to the crimes that go back as far as 2010, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.
