Warrant Sweep Nets 17 Arrests In Danbury Nearly 300 wanted criminals were scooped up, including 17 in Danbury, during a statewide warrant operation that included state and local law enforcement officials. The pre-dawn operation, conducted on Wednesday, July 18, targeted individuals wanted on outstanding felony and misdemeanor arrest warrants. ID Released For Victim Of Fatal NJ Turnpike Crash A New York City man was killed in a chain reaction crash Wednesday after the pickup he was riding in was rear-ended by a garbage truck, said the New Jersey State Police. Zhen Dong Wang, 50, of Brooklyn, a passenger in a Dodge Ram, was killed when the vehicle was rear-ended by the garbage truck in the southbound lanes near mile marker 114.8 on the New Jersey Turnpike in Carlstadt, Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Woman Rescued From Burning Car On I-95 Quick action by two witnesses to a car crash saved a Norwalk woman's life after she experienced a medical emergency on I-95. Two Cops Exposed To 'Unknown' Chemical Agent Responding To Northern Westchester Suicide Two police officers were transported to the hospital after being exposed to an unknown chemical agent used in a suicide. Three Stabbed In Broad Daylight In Yonkers Three people were stabbed during a disagreement on Yonkers Avenue on Wednesday, police said. Two men and a teen were stabbed around 3:45 p.m. at 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers Police Sgt. Jared Singer said. Singer said the attack stems from a prior dispute and was not random. Woman Left Dog In Trunk Of Car For Half Hour In Greenwich, Police Say A 56-year-old woman has been charged after police say they discovered that she had locked a dog in her trunk for more than 30 minutes. Linda Scalley of Wilton was arrested Wednesday by Greenwich Police after officers were called to a report of a dog in a vehicle on Grove Street in Cos Cob, said Lt. John Slusarz. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle with all of the windows closed and determined the dog was in the trunk.
