She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Alleged Drug Dealer Fights Cops To Avoid Arrest In Stamford Cops had to break out all the windows of a car in order to drag an alleged drug dealer out of the vehicle in order to arrest him, Stamford Police said. The incident took place around 2 p.m. Friday, July 13 at 218 Seaton Road when Stamford Police received word that Andrae Morgan "Drey," 27, of New Britain, would be making a cocaine drop, said Capt. Family Of Foxes Makes Themselves At Home In North Salem A North Salem resident has made a new group of friends, or should we say, a new family has moved in her yard and made friends with her. Early every morning and again at dusk, Ellen Burke said a family of foxes come and play in her yard. Of course, she doesn't approach them but says she does enjoy watching them and they have not caused any problems or approached her. Bear Struck, Killed On Merritt Parkway Another black bear has been struck and killed by a vehicle, this time on the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich.Greenwich Police confirmed they had received a call regarding the bear on the side of the roadway near Exit 31 and referred the matter to state police. The bear was apparently struck Friday evening, with calls to authorities beginning on Saturday. Last week, a bear was hit and killed by a vehicle on I-84 in Newtown. Suspect Caught Within Minutes After Robbing Stamford Bank, Police Say A suspect was apprehended just minutes after robbing the First Bank of Greenwich, Stamford Police said. The robbery took place around 12:50 p.m. Monday at the bank on Summer Street, said Capt. Richard Conklin. According to Conklin, police have arrested the suspect and retrieved the money and the note used in the commission of the robbery. Woman Nabbed With Drugs, Cash At Stamford Motel A tip that a woman would be making a drug drop at a local motel led to the arrest of a Bridgeport woman by Stamford Police Department's Narc Squad. The squad received the tip on Thursday that a black woman with long blonde hair would be making a crack and heroin delivery at the Red Carpet Inn at 1209 East Ave., said Capt. Richard Conklin. Man Attempting To Flee On Route 9W Strikes Cop With Car, Police Say A Monroe man was arrested after allegedly striking a police officer with his vehicle while attempting to flee a stop, according to New Windsor Police. Khachatur Ziroyan, 26, was arrested around 5:30 p.m. Saturday after Officers Francis Pierri and Steven Bohr, pull him over on Route 9W for committing numerous traffic violations, said New Windsor Police Lt. Man Arrested For Exposing Himself At Stamford Train Station A 63-year-old man was arrested after allegedly exposing himself at the Stamford train station as passengers disembarked. Joseph Spinelli of Stamford was arrested Sunday and charged with breach of peace after a passenger called to report that he was exposing himself on the sidewalk in front of the station, said Stamford Police Sgt. 22-Year-Old With Suspended License Charged In Fatal New City Crash A 22-year-old driver of a vehicle that slammed into a parked dump truck, killing his passenger was driving on a suspended license, according to Clarkstown Police. Police responded to the crash around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14, to the area of Mark Lane in New City for a report of a car accident, said Det. Peter Walker.
