Area Motorcyclist Killed In I-84 Crash A 48-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on I-84 on Thursday. The crash occurred around 7:01 a.m. at the Rochambeau Bridge in Southbury, when William Jasmin of Danbury lost control of his motorcycle, according to Connecticut State Police. After losing control, the motorcycle struck the concrete bridge rail off the right side of the roadway, state police said. Jasmin was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the right lane near the shoulder, state police said. Police Look To ID Suspects In $7K Fairfield County Theft Do you know them?  The Stratford Police Department is attempting to identify two women who ripped off a dentist office employee's wallet and then used the credit cards inside to charge $7,000 worth of goods. According to Capt. Frank Eannotti the women went to a dental office in Stratford on June 22 and as one inquired about becoming a new patient, the second woman asked to use the bathroom. Man Dies After Being Pulled From Pomona Fire A man died early Wednesday after a fire ripped through his Pomona home. The fire was reported around 3:03 a.m. at 286 Quaker Road, according to Hillcrest Fire Company No. 1.
