She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Teen Arrested For Brutal Stamford Beating, Robbery A man wanted for a brutal beating and robbery was nabbed during a raid of a small apartment where he was hiding out, Stamford Police said. Damani Morales, 19, of Stamford was arrested for the March 10 armed robbery of a 39-year-old man on the corner of Stillwater Avenue and Virgil Street that landed the victim in the hospital with serious injuries, said Stamford Police Capt. Missing Greenwich Woman Found New update: The 90-year-old woman who went missing Thursday morning was located in the evening and is safe. Original report: Greenwich police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing 90-year-old resident who has not been seen since early Thursday. Katherine Hogan left her home in Greenwich around 9 a.m. Thursday to go to the CVS Riverside, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz. Her family reported her missing when she had not returned home to Edge Hill Retirement community by 11 a.m. which is considered "very strange for her." Bridgeport Train Collision Delays New Haven Line This story has been updated. A collision between two trains in Bridgeport has delayed train service up to 10 to 15 minutes on the New Haven line. The crash, which occurred around 1:42 Thursday, took place at 525 Water St., between a work locomotive and a passenger train that was out of service when one ran into the back of the other at a very low speed, said MTA officials. According to officials, no passengers were aboard either train and the department is investigating a report of one minor injury to an employee. This is a developing story. Area Motorcyclist Killed In I-84 Crash A 48-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on I-84 on Thursday. The crash occurred around 7:01 a.m. at the Rochambeau Bridge in Southbury, when William Jasmin of Danbury lost control of his motorcycle, according to Connecticut State Police. After losing control, the motorcycle struck the concrete bridge rail off the right side of the roadway, state police said. Jasmin was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the right lane near the shoulder, state police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Man Killed After Car Crashes Into House In Hudson Valley Police Chase A 35-year-old man was killed while attempting to escape police after losing control of his vehicle and slamming into an unoccupied house.According to Middletown Police, the incident took place around 12:53 a.m. Thursday when an officer saw a black 2000 Lexus GS 300 commit a traffic infraction in the area of Cottage Street and Railroad Avenue, the department said in a release. Knife-Wielding Woman Nabbed In Danbury Gas Station Robbery, Police Say A knife-wielding woman who allegedly robbed a Danbury gas station was nabbed through video surveillance, police said. Elizabeth Saparato, 30, of Danbury, was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the armed robbery that took place around 7:47 p.m. July 4th at the Exxon gas station on North Main Street, said Danbury Police Det. Overdose Victim Found On Roadway Rescued By Wappingers Falls Police Two quick acting Wappingers Falls police officers saved the life of an opioid overdose victim by administering Narcan. The save took place around 12:24 p.m. Wednesday when officers Devin Ludwig and Mark Liebermann responded to the area of Andrews Place, a public highway located in the Village of Wappingers Falls for a report of a male down, said Lt P. Three Cited For Creating 'Public Disturbance' At Stamford Beach Three people were given citations for creating a public disturbance and one was arrested for driving drunk after police received complaints from a lifeguard at West Beach, Stamford Police said. Know Them? Police Look To ID Suspects In $7K Fairfield County Theft Do you know them? The Stratford Police Department is attempting to identify two women who ripped off a dentist office employee's wallet and then used the credit cards inside to charge $7,000 worth of goods. According to Capt. Frank Eannotti the women went to a dental office in Stratford on June 22 and as one inquired about becoming a new patient, the second woman asked to use the bathroom.
