She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Area Motorcyclist Killed In I-84 Crash A 48-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on I-84 on Thursday. The crash occurred around 7:01 a.m. at the Rochambeau Bridge in Southbury, when William Jasmin of Danbury lost control of his motorcycle, according to Connecticut State Police. After losing control, the motorcycle struck the concrete bridge rail off the right side of the roadway, state police said. Jasmin was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the right lane near the shoulder, state police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Man Killed After Car Crashes Into House In Hudson Valley Police Chase A 35-year-old man was killed while attempting to escape police after losing control of his vehicle and slamming into an unoccupied house.According to Middletown Police, the incident took place around 12:53 a.m. Thursday when an officer saw a black 2000 Lexus GS 300 commit a traffic infraction in the area of Cottage Street and Railroad Avenue, the department said in a release. Knife-Wielding Woman Nabbed In Danbury Gas Station Robbery, Police Say A knife-wielding woman who allegedly robbed a Danbury gas station was nabbed through video surveillance, police said. Elizabeth Saparato, 30, of Danbury, was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the armed robbery that took place around 7:47 p.m. July 4th at the Exxon gas station on North Main Street, said Danbury Police Det. Overdose Victim Found On Roadway Rescued By Wappingers Falls Police Two quick acting Wappingers Falls police officers saved the life of an opioid overdose victim by administering Narcan. The save took place around 12:24 p.m. Wednesday when officers Devin Ludwig and Mark Liebermann responded to the area of Andrews Place, a public highway located in the Village of Wappingers Falls for a report of a male down, said Lt P. Three Cited For Creating 'Public Disturbance' At Stamford Beach Three people were given citations for creating a public disturbance and one was arrested for driving drunk after police received complaints from a lifeguard at West Beach, Stamford Police said. Know Them? Police Look To ID Suspects In $7K Fairfield County Theft Do you know them? The Stratford Police Department is attempting to identify two women who ripped off a dentist office employee's wallet and then used the credit cards inside to charge $7,000 worth of goods. According to Capt. Frank Eannotti the women went to a dental office in Stratford on June 22 and as one inquired about becoming a new patient, the second woman asked to use the bathroom. Truck Crash Causes I-95 Traffic Nightmare In Fairfield County A crash involving a truck carrying motor vehicles has caused a traffic nightmare on I-95 in Fairfield County after closing two southbound lanes that have just reopened. Man Dies After Being Pulled From Pomona Fire A man died early Wednesday after a fire ripped through his Pomona home. The fire was reported around 3:03 a.m. at 286 Quaker Road, according to Hillcrest Fire Company No. 1. When firefighters arrived on scene flames were spreading outside the back of the one-story house to the roof. They were also informed by neighbors there was a possibility of an occupant still in the home, the department said. Firefighters searched the home and found a 63-year-old man inside a bedroom.
