Man Killed In Westchester Crash Between Car, Tow Truck A crash between a tow truck and a car left one person dead and closed down a major Westchester road for hours. The unidentified man was killed around 9:25 p.m. Wednesday on Knollwood Road in the vicinity of North Manor Road in the Town of Greenburgh, said Greenburgh Police Lt. Kobie Powell. Responding officers came upon the unresponsive man in a 2015 Honda Accord who was pronounced dead at the scene by Greenburgh Police EMS personnel, Powell said. Stamford Police Launch Distracted Driving Enforcement Campaign Stamford police are back on the hunt for drivers who are distracted by their cell phones and other devices during its renewed "U Drive. U Text. Teen Accused Of Raping Child In Rockland A Garnerville teen accused of raping a child in Haverstraw was arraigned on the charges, according to lohud.com. Francis Debord, 19, was arraigned on Tuesday on charges that he raped a child under the age of 13 between Aug. 1, 2017, and Oct. 31, 2017, said lohud.com. Officials with the Rockland County District Attorney's Office said they could not provide details or charges in the case because Debord was 18 years old at the time of his arrest. No other information on the case was available. Debord was released following his arraignment, lohud.com said.

Death Of Westchester Toddler Ruled A Homicide, Says Attorney After months of waiting, the death of a 3-year-old Mamaroneck girl, Gabriella Boyd, has been ruled a homicide, the attorney for the toddler's father said Wednesday. Martin Rosen, the attorney who represents Stephen Boyd in civil matters, said he was told by prosecutors that following an autopsy Gabriella's death has been ruled a homicide. Man Faces Felony DWI Charge After Crash In Northern Westchester A 37-year-old man faces a felony DWI charge following a crash in which he was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road without a court-ordered ignition interlock device in Northern Westchester, police said. Woman Tries To Swallow Drugs, Fights Officers During Hotel Arrest, Greenwich PD Says Police nabbed a couple at a local hotel for drugs after receiving a complaint of a fight taking place. Alexander Edell, 36, of Cos Cob, and Melaine Arias, 22, of Brooklyn, were charged with numerous drug charges after officers arrived at the Hyatt Hotel on E. Man Driving Drunk Had Three Kids In Car On Route 59, Police Say A 60-year-old man was nabbed for driving drunk with three children in the car after police noticed the children were not wearing seatbelts. Ramapo police made the stop around 2:10 p.m. Monday after officers on patrol on Route 59 in Hillburn noticed the children were not wearing safety devices. The officer conducted a traffic stop and began to observe signs that the driver, from Washington, D.C., was intoxicated. Two Longtime Members Of Greenwich Police Force Announce Retirements Two longtime members of the Greenwich Police department have retired after a combined 50 years on the force. Lt. John Rodriguez, a graduate of Westchester Business Institute, was hired as a Greenwich Police officer in 1992. He served as a dispatcher, field training officer, and traffic accident investigator. Two Behind Bars Following Pursuit From Westchester Over New Tappan Zee Bridge Two men are behind bars after taking police on a chase over the new Tappan Zee Bridge after allegedly stealing tools from the Home Depot in Mount Pleasant. The men, who have not been identified, tried to steal two “hammer tools” valued at $650 each around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday from Home Depot in Mount Pleasant, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police.
