Body Of Man Pulled From Hudson River The body of a man was found floating in the Hudson River in the area of the Mid-Hudson Bridge. Dutchess County Sheriff's officials received reports of a possible body floating near the bridge around noon Tuesday, July 31, said Lt. Shawn Castano. Two department boats were dispatched and deputies located the body in the river, he said. The body was removed from the river by members of the Sheriff’s Office, City of Poughkeepsie Police and Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office. Suspects On Loose After Seven Cars Stolen From Fairfield County Dealership Seven cars were stolen during a break-in at a Fairfield County Chevrolet dealership on Sunday. The missing cars were stolen around 1 a.m. Sunday at the Devan Chevrolet Dealership on Danbury Road in Wilton, according to Wilton Police Capt. Thomas Conlan. The thieves, a group of suspects, were caught on video surveillance smashing a window and entering the service department at the dealership, police said. Youth Gymnastics Coach From Westchester Arraigned On Sex Abuse Charges A popular local coach who owned gyms across the area has been arraigned on three counts of sexual conduct against a child and five counts of felony sexual abuse. ID Released For Pedestrian Killed While Retrieving Cell Phone On I-95 A man who was struck and killed on I-95 while he retrieved his cell phone from the median has been identified. Hoa Ngo, 34, of Sacramento, Calif., was killed around 2:30 a.m. Monday on I-95 northbound just north of Exit 41 in Orange, said Sgt. Eric J Haglund with the Connecticut State Police. Report Of Gunman Atop Building Leads To Massive Police Response In Yonkers An anonymous report of a gunman on the roof of a building in Westchester brought out a heavy police response on Monday night. Police received the call around 7:58 p.m. Monday with the caller stating that a man with a gun was on the roof of 28 Caryl Ave. in Yonkers, said Sgt. Jared Singer. CT Man Charged With DUI With Child In Car A 35-year-old Connecticut man was busted in Rhode Island for allegedly driving drunk with a 4-year--old in the car. Matthew Chouinard, of Pomfret, was arrested at approximately 8:20 p.m. Sunday, on I-95 North in Richmond after troopers spotted a vehicle being operated erratically, with no headlights or taillights on well after sunset. Man Gets Nine-Year Sentence In Hudson Valley Drug Conspiracy Case A 38-year-old man was sentenced to nine years in prison and five years probation for possessing more than eight ounces of cocaine. Terrance Burton, 38, of New Windsor, was sentenced Monday by Orange County Court Judge Craig Stephen Brown after pleading guilty to criminal possession of a control substance in April. Mid-Hudson Bridge 'Jumper' At Large After Driving Away From Scene The City of Poughkeepsie Police are asking for help tracking down the person who jumped with a parachute from the Mid-Hudson Bridge, bringing out a full force of rescue personnel.
