She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Travel Delays Continue Following Danbury Dump Truck Crash Motorists can expect continued significant travel delays through the evening commute in Northern Fairfield County after a dump truck struck a pole, bringing down power lines earlier Monday. The crash took place around 10:10 a.m. Monday at 3 Plumtrees Road in Danbury when the truck, exiting a business with its bed extended struck the power lines over the roadway, said Danbury PD Det. Three Injured When Jeep Crashes Into SUV Head On In Fairfield County Three people were injured during a head-on crash in Fairfield County. According to Danbury police, the crash took place around 11:46 p.m. Friday in the area of 26 Newtown Road, said Det. Lt. Mark Williams. The crash occurred when a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Eueal Dagne, 38, of Bethel, traveling westbound on Newtown Road collided head-on with a 2002 GMC Envoy, driven by Robert Bates, 54, of Brookfield, along with passenger, Lisa Munger, 49, of New Milford, Williams said. Two Extricated After BMW Crashes Into Stone Wall In Westchester Two people were seriously injured during a single-vehicle crash in Northern Westchester over the weekend. The crash occurred around 9 p.m. Saturday on Old Post Road near Seminary Road in Bedford, said Bedford PD Lt. Andrew Bellantone. The vehicle, a 2006 BMW 550, was traveling southwest on Old Post Road before it struck a stone wall and came to rest on its roof in the northbound lane, Bellantone said. Injuries Reported In Rockland School Bus Crash Two drivers suffered injuries after a car and school bus collided in Rockland County. Ramapo police said the crash occurred around 9:10 a.m. Monday in the area of 399 Route 306 in the Village of Wesley Hills. The school bus was not occupied by students and both the driver of the bus and the other vehicle sustained minor injuries, police said. Route 306 was closed while the vehicles were removed but has reopened.

Woman, 43, Killed When Car Crashes Into Tree On Route 9W A 43-year-old woman was killed in a one-car crash on Route 9W after hitting a tree, police said. Jolene E. Jollie of Milton was traveling south around 5:30 p.m. Friday, on Route 9W when her car left the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, Town of Lloyd Police Lt. James Janso said. Jollie, who was the sole occupant in the car was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead, Janso said. Man, 26, Shot After Attending Party In Pomona Police are investigating the shooting of a 26-year-old man after attending a party in the village of Pomona. According to Ramapo PD Lt. Daniel Hyman, the shooting took place shortly after midnight Sunday on Hidden Valley Drive near where the victim was attending a house party. Police were notified of a possible shooting victim at Good Samaritan Hospital Emergency Department, Hyman said. The victim suffered a non-life threatening penetration wound, and was treated and released from the hospital, Hyman said. One Shot On I-95 In Fairfield County In Possible Road-Rage Incident, Police Say One person was shot on I-95 in Fairfield County in what might have been a road-rage incident, Connecticut State Police confirmed to Daily Voice late Monday morning. The gunshots were reported around 9:20 a.m. Monday on northbound I-95 near exit 30 in Stratford, according to Trooper Kelly Grant. The victim was transported to the hospital for evaluation of what appears to be a non-life-threatening injury, Grant said. Pedestrian Struck, Killed On I-95 Retrieving Cell Phone This story has been updated. An out-of-state man was killed on I-95 northbound after stepping into the left lane of traffic to retrieve his cellphone. Connecticut State Police are not sure how the man's cell phone fell out of the pick-up truck he was riding in around 2:30 a.m. Monday, but said the man, crossed over three lanes of traffic and found the phone, said Sgt.
