Four Workers Rescued At New Tappan Zee Bridge Four construction workers stuck beneath the underside of the new Tappan Zee Bridge were rescued by fellow employees. According to the Thruway Authority, the workers, who were in a bucket-type articulating truck working under the bridge, became stuck around 2:19 p.m. Wednesday when the equipment failed. Although local fire departments were called, employees with Tappan Zee Constructors had another vehicle on standby that was used to rescue the stuck workers, the authority said. No one was injured.

Two Police Officers Injured In Struggle With Teen Caught With Fake Credit Cards In Greenwich A Greenwich teen caught with more than 30 fake credit cards injured two police officers during a struggle as he resisted arrest. Glen Lamont Ragin, 19, was arrested around 6 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop for broken brake lights, said Greenwich Police Lt John Slusarz. According to police, during an investigation following the stop officers found numerous fraudulent credit cards and marijuana inside his vehicle. Man Posed As Boston Bruins Owner, Scammed Business Owners, Wilton Police Say A 37-year-old man was nabbed for posing as the owner of the Boston Bruins and scamming local business owners to have work done for free or at a reduced rate, Wilton Police said. Jeffrey Jacobs, of both Wilton and White Plains, was arrested Sunday, July 22, on an arrest warrant in Dutchess County and waived extradition, said the Wilton Police Department. ID Released For Man Killed In Route 202 Crash The name of a 28-year-old man who was killed in a head-on crash on Route 202 on Monday. Private First Class Carl Bradford was the victim of the crash which occurred around 7 a.m. near 3655 Crompond Road in Yorktown, according to Col. Richard Goldenberg of the New York National Guard. Medical Center In Ossining Evacuated After Threatening Text Message An area medical center was evacuated after receiving a threatening text message. The threat to the business, the Open Door Medical Center at 165 Main Street in Ossining, came in around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, the department said. The building has been evacuated and the area is being searched for suspicious items by the Westchester County Police Special Operations Division. Woman Convicted In Bench Trial After Deaths Of Nine Horses At Area Farm A 52-year-old woman was found guilty Tuesday of 10 felony counts of aggravated cruelty to animals in connection with the deaths of nine horses on a farm in the area. Jeanne Ryan of Goshen was also found guilty of the mistreatment of another horse, which survived, as well as for overdriving, torturing, injuring, and underfeeding the horses.  She was remanded to the Orange County Jail until her sentencing on Sept. 6, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office. The incident which began around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, involves six people who were reported having problems in the water near the pier by the Rip Van Winkle apartments.  Five people have been transported to an area hospital. Know Him? Suspect Who Tried Breaking Into Stamford Homes At Large Police are asking the public for help in identifying the man pictured who may be involved in attempted home break-ins in the area. The man reportedly broke in a home in the Cove area of Stamford on Monday, July 16 and then another home on Highland Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
