She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Two Women Nabbed In Norwalk Vehicle Burglary Spree Two women have been busted in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries that took place in June. Norwalk Detectives investigated four motor vehicle burglaries that occurred in the parking garage at 770 Connecticut Ave., during June, said Norwalk Police Lt.Terry Blake. Based on their investigation, detectives determined Jamie Edwards-Hinton, 22, of Stamford, was the person responsible for the burglaries and arrest warrants were recently issued, Blake said. 30-Year Department Veteran Promoted To Trumbull Police Captain After 30 years with the Trumbull Police Department, Lt. Keith Golding has been promoted to the rank of Captain. Golding was promoted on Wednesday, Aug. 1, during a special ceremony. The newly minted captain most recently served as the Detective Division Commander. He will now be assigned as the Patrol Division Commander, where he will be responsible for all uniformed service personnel. During his tenure with the department, Golding has also worked as a supervisor in the Records Division, and as a shift commander in Patrol. Know Him? Police Seek To ID Suspect In Fairfield County Burglary Police are searching for a man considered a person of interest in connection with a residential burglary. The incident took place around 7:50 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, on Marcroft Street in Stratford, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti. A window air conditioner was removed to gain entry into the house. Investigators are looking to identify the man pictured who was seen walking up and down the street prior to the discovery of the burglary, Eannotti said. Man Extradited To Greenwich One Sexual Assault Charge A 37-year-old man has been arrested for a June sexual assault following an investigation by Greenwich Police. Gionni Scaltro of Staten Island was arrested on July 26 by NYPD officers following a lengthy investigation by the Greenwich Police Department's Special Victims Unit, said Lt. John Slusarz. He was extradited to Greenwich on Tuesday and charged with felony sexual assault, threatening, unlawful restraint, and breach of peace, police said. He is being held on $75,000 bond. Man Beaten, Bound In Targeted Greenwich Home Invasion, Police Say Police nabbed a 46-year-old man in connection with a home invasion and robbery in which police believe the victim was targeted. Greenwich Police received a call from a resident on Brook Avenue around 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug., 4, for a report of a home invasion and robbery, said Greenwich Lt. John Slusarz. The victim told officers that he had been bound and beaten by a group of armed individuals who had forced their way into home demanding cash and money, Slusarz said. Suspect At Large After 16-Year-Old Shot While Playing Basketball Police are searching for a vehicle involved in the shooting of a 16-year-old teen who was shot once while playing basketball. The incident took around 7 p.m. Tuesday on Woodend Road in Stratford when the teen was hit by a bullet in what appears to be a drive-by shooting, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. Angry Bird: 'Agitated' Hawk Captured After Attacks Injure Two In Fairfield County An angry hawk who was attacking people in Fairfield County has been captured. The "agitated" hawk was caught around 6:30 p.m. near the 2200 block of East Main Street in Bridgeport by a DEEP Conservation officer and taken to safety, said City Spokeswoman Rowena White. Man At Large After Robbing 62-Year-Old Woman In Poughkeepsie, Police Say The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department is searching for a man they say attacked a 62-year-old woman with mace before forcibly taking her purse. Motorist Stopped For Speeding In New Canaan Was Under Influence, Police Say An area man was busted for DUI after officers stopped him for driving 20 miles per hour over the posted speed limit, according to New Canaan Police. Daniel Nelson, 65, of Norwalk, was arrested Sunday after officers observed him driving 60 mph in a 40 mph area on New Norwalk Road, said Lt. Jason Ferraro. When officers approached the vehicle they could smell alcohol on Nelson's breath, police said. Agitated Hawk Goes On Attack, Injuring Two In Fairfield County An agitated hawk has attacked at least two people and there have been another five complaints, according to Bridgeport City officials. The hawk first attacked and injured a man around 9:50 a.m. Tuesday in the area of 2200 East Main Street, officials said.
