Shots Fired At Westchester Home, Police Say New York State Police are on the scene after a report of shots fired at a home in Westchester. The shots were fired at Meadowview Lane in Somers around 4:05 p.m. Friday, state police said. A bullet was reportedly fired through a window, but officers had just arrived on the scene and could not confirm if the house was hit or anyone was injured. This is a developing story. 25-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With SUV Near Danbury Mall Entrance A 25-year-old Fairfield County man was killed following a crash with a car, according to Danbury Police. Samuel Hyde of Danbury died Thursday following a serious crash around 7 p.m. on Backus Avenue near the west entrance of the Danbury Mall, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams. An investigation into the crash found that Hyde was operating a Honda CBR 954RR motorcycle at a high rate of speed, westbound on Backus Avenue when the motorcycle struck a 2008 Honda CRV, Williams said. Six Busted By ICE In Cell Phone Fraud Scheme With Hub In Westchester Six people were arrested Friday in a Westchester hub of a massive $1 million cell phone fraud scheme uncovered by an ICE task force. The six are part of 12 people busted by ICE and Homeland Security, following a long-term investigation into the scheme that operated a hub out of a Mount Vernon apartment, according to ICE officials. Van Flips On I-87 In Rockland, Causing Stop-Go Delays This story has been updated. A single-vehicle crash caused stop-and-go traffic on the northbound New York State Thruway in Rockland County early Friday afternoon. New York State Police said the exit ramp at the Palisades Parkway was blocked by a panel van that flipped on its side around 12:15 p.m. Friday. No injuries are reported. The Thruway was backed up from Exit 13 at the Palisades to Exit 14 at Spring Valley and Route 59, said Trooper Michael Cassella.

Raging Fire Destroys Greenwich Home A two-and-half-story uninhabited home was consumed by fire overnight, causing the structure to partially collapse. The Greenwich Fire Department began receiving multiple 911 calls regarding the fire at 15 Locust Road around 11:52 p.m. Thursday, said Greenwich Fire Department Assistant Chief Robert Kick. "You know when you have numerous calls that the fire must be fully involved," Kick said. Man Crossing Street Struck, Killed By Jeep In Westchester A 62-year-old man was killed when he was struck by an SUV while crossing a Westchester street. The incident took place around 5:35 p.m. Thursday as the Yonkers resident was crossing the road near 63 Yonkers Ave. and was struck by a Jeep driven by a 35-year-old Yonkers resident, said Sgt. Jared Singer. When Yonkers Police arrived on the scene they found the unidentified pedestrian lying on the street and a Jeep on the driver's side, both in the westbound lane of Yonkers Avenue, he said. Suspect Nabbed In Brutal Robbery Of 62-Year-Old Woman In Hudson Valley A 28-year-old man who was wanted for the brutal robbery of a 62-year-old Hudson Valley woman turned himself into police in North Carolina after a barrage of press and law enforcement officials highlighted his crime. Man Nabbed For Shoplifting $1K In Goods From Area CVS A man who was spotted putting items in a brown paper bag at a CVS pharmacy was arrested fleeing the store. Joseph Carter III, address unknown, was apprehended by Westport Police around 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, after responding to the CVS Pharmacy on Post Road East in Westport for a report of a shoplifter, Westport Police said. 25-Year-Old Dies After Fall From Bucket Truck In Hudson Valley A 25-year-old man who fell from a bucket truck while working on Monday has died, police announced on Thursday. Middletown Police Lt. Jeffry Thoelen said he was notified late Wednesday by the Orange County Medica Examiner's Office of the death. The man worked for JMH Tree Service, which lists a Middletown address. Fire officials said the man fell 30 to 40 feet near 15 Highland Ave. around 12:48 p.m. Monday. The man was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center by Mobile Life Supports ambulance. Thoelen said they could not release the man's identity pending notification of his family.

Search On For Boston Post Road Bank Robbery Suspect The Milford Police Department is on the hunt for a man who robbed the Bank of America. The incident took place around 10 a.m. Wednesday when a man walked into the bank at 1331 Boston Post Road and approached a teller and said "give me your money," said Milford Officer Joseph Dempsey. No weapon was displayed or implied during the robbery. After receiving the money, the suspect then left on foot out the front door towards the Boston Post Road, Dempsey said.
