Shots Fired At Westchester Home, Police Say New York State Police are on the scene after a report of shots fired at a home in Westchester. The shots were fired at Meadowview Lane in Somers around 4:05 p.m. Friday, state police said.  A bullet was reportedly fired through a window, but officers had just arrived on the scene and could not confirm if the house was hit or anyone was injured.  This is a developing story. Samuel Hyde of Danbury died Thursday following a serious crash around 7 p.m. on Backus Avenue near the west entrance of the Danbury Mall, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams. An investigation into the crash found that Hyde was operating a Honda CBR 954RR motorcycle at a high rate of speed, westbound on Backus Avenue when the motorcycle struck a 2008 Honda CRV, Williams said. Van Flips On I-87 In Rockland, Causing Stop-Go Delays This story has been updated. A single-vehicle crash caused stop-and-go traffic on the northbound New York State Thruway in Rockland County early Friday afternoon. New York State Police said the exit ramp at the Palisades Parkway was blocked by a panel van that flipped on its side around 12:15 p.m. Friday. No injuries are reported.  The Thruway was backed up from Exit 13 at the Palisades to Exit 14 at Spring Valley and Route 59, said Trooper Michael Cassella.

Raging Fire Destroys Greenwich Home A two-and-half-story uninhabited home was consumed by fire overnight, causing the structure to partially collapse. 25-Year-Old Dies After Fall From Bucket Truck In Hudson Valley A 25-year-old man who fell from a bucket truck while working on Monday has died, police announced on Thursday. Middletown Police Lt. Jeffry Thoelen said he was notified late Wednesday by the Orange County Medica Examiner's Office of the death. The man worked for JMH Tree Service, which lists a Middletown address.  Fire officials said the man fell 30 to 40 feet near 15 Highland Ave. around 12:48 p.m. Monday. The man was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center by Mobile Life Supports ambulance.  Thoelen said they could not release the man's identity pending notification of his family.

The incident took place around 10 a.m. Wednesday when a man walked into the bank at 1331 Boston Post Road and approached a teller and said "give me your money," said Milford Officer Joseph Dempsey.
