One Dead, One Critical In Overnight Bridgeport Shooting
A Bridgeport man is dead and another in critical condition following a drive-by shooting in Fairfield County.
Len Allen Smith, 25, was fatally shot while sitting in a car parked at Union and Stratford Avenues around 12:27 a.m. Monday, said Bridgeport Police Spokesman Av Harris.
A second victim, Georgia Comacho, 33, also of Bridgeport, was in the back seat and was also shot, Harris said.
Both were taken by ambulance to Bridgeport Hospital, where Smith was pronounced dead. Comacho underwent surgery and is in critical condition, he added.

Stanfordville Man Breaks Into Home, Hits Woman In Front Of Child, Police Say
A Stanfordville man was charged with felony burglary after breaking into a Village of Red Hook home and hitting a woman in front of a child.
John J. Mitchell, 52, was arrested around 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, after Red Hook Police officers responded to a report of a physical dispute at an area home, Red Hook Police said.
Following an investigation, police determined that Mitchell had forcefully entered the residence and struck a woman while a young child was present, police said.

Only this time he's not playing with babies at baseball games or cracking jokes.
The famed comedian is said to have dumped a glass of water over Peter Simon, Carly Simon's brother, and a pretty famous photographer on Martha's Vineyard, according to the Boston Globe.
