She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Putnam Gets Alzheimer's Foundation Grant A $5,000 grant from the Alzheimer's Foundation of America will allow the Putnam County Sheriff's Office to expand its Project Lifesaver program aimed at finding lost adults. The Project Lifesaver program uses technology and training to help combat wandering, a common and dangerous behavior among individuals with Alzheimer’s disease. Fight Involving 30 Students Breaks Out At School In Westchester A large fight involving more than 30 students at a Westchester school ended with four arrests. The fight broke out around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday on the campus of the Graham School at 1 South Broadway, in Hastings-on-Hudson, near the Odel Cottage, according to Hastings-on-Hudson Police Lt. David Dosin. Officers responded to the school, which was placed on lockdown, along with officers from the Yonkers Police Department and Westchester County. Dozens On Dirt Bikes, Quads, Motorcycles Frighten Drivers On, Off I-95 Stretch A large group of dirt bikes, quads, and motorcycle riders have been hassling and scaring, drivers on I-95 and the surrounding area, according to WTNH News 8. The latest incident took place over the weekend when frightened drivers told the news channel that they had been surrounded, cut off in traffic and blocked from intersections and moving on I-95 in New Haven and surrounding roadways. One Seriously Injured In Head-On Dutchess Crash One person was seriously injured in a head-on crash after being trapped in the vehicle, according to the New York State Police. The crash took place around 8:35 a.m. Wednesday at 3010 Pleasant Ridge Road in Wingdale, said AJ Hicks, spokesman for the New York State Police. Fugitive Wanted For Murder Nabbed In New Haven A man wanted for murder and assault was caught by local and state police after receiving information he might be hiding out in the area. Jamahn Johnson, 46, of Clinton, N.C., was arrested Tuesday in the area of Sherman Parkway and Willis Street in New Haven after Secret Service agents and the New Haven Police Department developed information that Johnson was in the area, Connecticut State Police said.
