She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. Longtime Detective In Hudson Valley Dies Unexpectedly At 51 Aloysius F. McMahon of West Nyack, a longtime Rockland County detective, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 13. He was 51. McMahon was with the Rockland County Sheriff's Office and Corrections Division for 29 years, beginning in corrections in1989, and moved to the Patrol Division as an officer in 1996.  He worked for the Rockland County Drug Task Force from 1998 to 1999 before becoming a well-known and respected crime scene detective in 1999 to present. Family member Gissell Alarcon said Katy Ordonez-Garces of Fishkill was found late Friday afternoon safe and unharmed. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. Thursday when a woman called 911 to report that her husband had just shot the person at their home, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. 37-Year-Old Charged After Falling Through Window Of Popular Sports Bar In Area A 37-year-old man was arrested after falling through the front window of a popular sports bar in the area. Toy Christiansen was arrested Wednesday after police responded to the Crush Sports Bar, 1015 Bridgeport Ave., for a report of property damage, said Milford Officer Joseph Dempsey. When officers arrived on the scene they found that Christiansen, a Seymour resident, had damaged the window after falling into it, he said. He was charged with criminal mischief and released on a promise to appear ticket.

Christopher Evers, of North Salem, was stopped around 1:20 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, on Route 7 in the area of Blue Ridge Road for failing to display registration, said the Wilton Police Department.
