She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Rye Brook Police Welcome New Officers Meet Rye Brook Police Department’s newest police officers Michael Della Vecchia and Christian Delarosa. The new recruits were appointed at the Rye Brook Village Board meeting on Wednesday. Pair Caught Stealing TV From Area Hotel, Police Say Two area men were arrested by police after being caught burglarizing a hotel room.  Monticello police arrested Glen Flickenschild, 44, and Joseph Tomasulo, 29, both of Monticello were arrested Friday, Sept. 14, and charged with felony burglary and petit larceny, according to Lt. Darryl Minor of Middletown and Tishawn Woods of Newburgh were arrested Tuesday, Sept. 11 by Port Jervis Police for the robbery which took place on Aug. 18, said Port Jervis Police Chief William Worden. Westchester 22-Year-Old Rescued After Falling From Cliff While Hiking A 22-year-old Westchester man was rescued after falling more than 20 feet off a cliff while hiking at Nyack Beach State Park. The incident took place around 2:30 p.m. Sunday when the Tarrytown man went off a trail, fell and was knocked unconscious, said Randy Simon, spokesman for the state Parks Services. Longtime Detective In Hudson Valley Dies Unexpectedly At 51 Aloysius F. McMahon of West Nyack, a longtime Rockland County detective, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 13. He was 51. McMahon was with the Rockland County Sheriff's Office and Corrections Division for 29 years, beginning in corrections in1989, and moved to the Patrol Division as an officer in 1996.  He worked for the Rockland County Drug Task Force from 1998 to 1999 before becoming a well-known and respected crime scene detective in 1999 to present.
