$10 Million Richer: Westchester Man Wins On Lottery Scratch-Off Ticket One lucky Westchester man is $10 million richer after purchasing a scratch-off lottery ticket. The man will be identified at 1 p.m. Friday when he picks up his giant check from the New York Lottery’s Yolanda Vega at the store where he purchased his ticket, lottery officials said. The Westchester County resident won his prize on a $10,000 a Week for Life scratch-off ticket that he purchased at A-Plus on Central Avenue in Hartsdale. The lucky guy opted to take the full pay-out of $10 million.

ID Released Of Man Killed Climbing On Top Of Train In Westchester As MTA officials release the name of the man killed after climbing on top of a Metro-North train Wednesday night, one witness to the event said it was a "horrible" experience that will stay with him forever. MTA officials said Michael Vigeant, 24, of Hudson, New Hampshire, was killed about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday after climbing on top of a Stamford-bound train between Larchmont and Mamaroneck and hitting overhead electrified wires. Man Banned From Area Walmart Returns To Store A 38-year-old man was arrested after returning to an area Walmart he had been banned from entering. Stephen Ewald of Milford was arrested and charged with trespassing Sunday by Milford Police after they received a call from the store that Ewald had returned to the store located on Boston Post Road, police said. When officers arrived at the store, they learned that Ewald had been banned from the property on Aug. 9, but had returned earlier in the day, police said. Ewald, who was arrested at his home, was released on a promise to appear ticket.

'Jaws Of Life' Used To Extricate Woman After Serious Crash In Fairfield A 28-year-old woman received serious injuries during a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Fairfield Tuesday night. Dozens of callers alerted the Fairfield Emergency Communications Center of the crash that took place around 9:14 p.m. at the intersection of North Benson and the Post roads, according to the Fairfield Fire Department. Man Faces Attempted Rape Charge In Orange County A 44-year-old man faces attempted rape and attempted sexual abuse charges following the attack of two women. Lionel Williams of Port Jervis was arrested Monday in connection with one of two sexual assaults that took place on Saturday, Sept. 15 and Monday, Sept. 17, Port Jervis Police said. ID Released For Man Killed After Losing Control Of Vehicle, Hitting Tree In Stratford A 32-year-old man was killed after losing control of his vehicle and hitting a tree over the weekend. Richard Pugh of Stratford was killed Sunday in the single-vehicle crash on Broadbridge Avenue near Success Avenue, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. During the crash, Eannotti said Pugh was driving his car south on Broadbridge Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle. The car left the roadway and struck a tree. Man Awakens Woman, Threatens To Kill Her, Milford Police Say A 54-year-old man was arrested after a woman awoke to find him standing over her demanding his cell phone or he would kill her, police said. Five Nabbed With Handguns, Heroin In Dutchess Task Force Raid The Dutchess County Task Force nabbed five people during a raid of a City of Poughkeepsie apartment with handguns, 2,800 bags of heroin and fentanyl, and more than $11,000 in cash.
