Three-Alarm Eastchester Seven-Story Blaze Forces Garth Road Closure Numerous Westchester and surrounding fire departments are battling a three-alarm fire in Eastchester that has closed a major roadway, according to Eastchester Police. The fire started around 11 a.m. Monday at the seven-story Garth Wood Cooperative complex at 235 Garth Road, Eastchester.  Eastchester police said Garth Road is closed to all vehicular traffic as crews battle the blaze. Missing Woman Found Dead In Hudson River, Identified A 48-year-old woman who police had been searching for since Thursday has been found dead in the Hudson River and identified. Jennifer Kavanagh was found Sunday morning by the Piermont Police dive team near the end of the Piermont Pier, said the Piermont Police. Alert Issued For Man Wanted For False Personation During Speeding Stop New York State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted for falsifying business records. James O'Kello, 25, was stopped for speeding in the town of Wallkill. It was later determined that the name that O'Kello used was his brother's and he was, in fact, operating the vehicle.  An arrest warrant was issued for his arrest from the Town of Wallkill Court. Man Nabbed For Stealing Car Out Of Town Of Poughkeepsie Driveway, Police Say A report of a stolen vehicle led to the arrest of a Town of Poughkeepsie man for grand larceny. Peter B. DeRosso, 44, was arrested Saturday, Oct. 6 after a Town of Poughkeepsie resident reported that their 2017 Kia Sorrento had been stolen from the driveway and that the vehicle contained personal information and credit cards, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Kevin Faber. The vehicle was later found unoccupied in the City of Poughkeepsie, he added. Employee Caught Stealing From Cash Register At Macy's In Northern Westchester A 56-year-old Macy's employee was nabbed for allegedly ripping off money from the cash register.  Desmond Mighty of Cortlandt Manor was arrested Thursday, Oct. 4, after Yorktown Police received a call from Macy's staff at the Jefferson Valley Mall, reporting an employee was being held for a larceny complaint, said the Yorktown Police.
