She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Alert Issued For Man Wanted For False Personation During Speeding Stop New York State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted for falsifying business records. James O'Kello, 25, was stopped for speeding in the town of Wallkill. It was later determined that the name that O'Kello used was his brother's and he was, in fact, operating the vehicle. An arrest warrant was issued for his arrest from the Town of Wallkill Court. He is also wanted by the New York City Police Department for false personation. Man Nabbed For Stealing Car Out Of Town Of Poughkeepsie Driveway, Police Say A report of a stolen vehicle led to the arrest of a Town of Poughkeepsie man for grand larceny. Peter B. DeRosso, 44, was arrested Saturday, Oct. 6 after a Town of Poughkeepsie resident reported that their 2017 Kia Sorrento had been stolen from the driveway and that the vehicle contained personal information and credit cards, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Kevin Faber. The vehicle was later found unoccupied in the City of Poughkeepsie, he added. During an investigation, DeRosso was identified as a suspect and later arrested and charged with two counts of grand larceny, police said.…

Police Seek To ID Suspect In Burglary At Norwalk Store Norwalk detectives are asking the public for help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a robbery.The robbery took place around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Cybernet Office located at 105 Ely Ave., Norwalk Police said. Employee Caught Stealing From Cash Register At Macy's In Northern Westchester A 56-year-old Macy's employee was nabbed for allegedly ripping off money from the cash register. Desmond Mighty of Cortlandt Manor was arrested Thursday, Oct. 4, after Yorktown Police received a call from Macy's staff at the Jefferson Valley Mall, reporting an employee was being held for a larceny complaint, said the Yorktown Police. An investigation into the claim found that Mighty allegedly stole cash from the register totaling $107.72 on two separate occasions, police said. Police: Woman Faces Two Felony Charges After Kicking In Door In Town Of Poughkeepsie Burglary A woman allegedly beat a bedroom door with a frying pan after kicking in the front door of a home faces charges of burglary and assault. Monifah Carter, 22, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 7 after officers responded to an apartment at 134 Innis Ave., in the Town of Poughkeepsie for a person damaging property inside the apartment, said Capt. Margo Tebordo, 36, is wanted by state police and the town of LaGrange court for failure to appear for court proceedings in regards to an arrest in August of 2017. Manager From Poughkeepsie Steals $10K From Restaurant, Police Say A 42-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after admitting to stealing more than $10,000 from the Sonic Restaurant in the Hudson Valley she helped manage, according to authorities in Orange County. Melissa Lynn Kearns of Poughkeepsie was arrested after police were called to the restaurant at 14 Liner Road in New Windsor regarding an employee theft, said Det. Sgt. Christopher Sager. Man Caught With Crack In Parking Lot Of Area Hotel A 34-year-old man was allegedly busted with crack cocaine after officers checked out suspicious activity at an area inn. Bruce Jelliffe of Milford was arrested Thursday after Milford Police observed alleged illegal activity in the parking lot of the Milford Inn at 345 Old Gate Lane, said Milford Police Officer Joseph Dempsey. During an investigation, Jelliffe was found to be in possession of crack cocaine. He was charged with possession of narcotics and released on $250 bond. Jelliffe is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6.

Search Temporarily Halted In Hudson River Area For Missing Woman A large-scale search for a woman missing in or near the Hudson River has been temporarily called off due to inclement weather. According to the Piermont Police Department, first responders from across Rockland County were forced to call off the search for the woman who has been since Thursday night. Rockland County Sheriff's Office Chief Barbera said the department has deployed its Marine and K-9 unit to help with the search for the "young" woman in the area of the new Tappan Zee Bridge.
