Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Norwalk Hit-And-Run Police are searching for the person who hit a pedestrian, causing serious injuries and then fled the scene. The incident took place around 2:41 p.m. Sunday on Strawberry Hill Avenue near Roxbury Road, said Norwalk Police.  Arriving officers located a male victim who was suffering from serious injuries. Man Made Purchases With Counterfeit Money At Trumbull Mall, Police Say A 25-year-old man was arrested for allegedly using counterfeit money to make purchases at the Trumbull Mall. Namon Donnel Johnson of the Bronx was arrested Saturday after he fled on foot from Trumbull Police after being stopped and questioned about counterfeiting, department officials said in a press release. Poughkeepsie Woman Forged, Cashed Checks Worth $6K From Employer Over Six Months, Police Say A 46-year-old area woman was arrested for stealing more than $6,000  from her employee. Sonya R. Cooper of Poughkeepsie was arrested Friday, Oct. 12 following an investigation by the Town of Lloyd Police, said Lt. James Janso. Cooper, who was charged with felony grand larceny and felony forgery, is accused of forging and cashing checks in excess of more than $6,000 from an 82-year-old Highland woman over the course of the six months she was employed as a home health aide, Janso said. Cooper was released following arraignment and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 18.

Missing Woman Found Dead In Hudson River, Identified A 48-year-old woman who police had been searching for since Thursday has been found dead in the Hudson River and identified. Jennifer Kavanagh was found Sunday morning by the Piermont Police dive team near the end of the Piermont Pier, said the Piermont Police.
