She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Pair Behind Bars As Bridgeport Task Force Stop Yields Firearms, Fentanyl, Heroin Two men are behind bars after being nabbed during a traffic stop with drugs and guns. The bust went down on Monday when Bridgeport Task Force members working an ongoing investigation conducted a traffic stop on Chopsey Hill Road, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. The operator and front seat passenger were identified as Isaac Peoples and Rondell Williams, both of Bridgeport. During the stop, Peoples attempted to flee from the driver’s seat but was detained. Stamford Woman Wanted For Stealing Purse In Greenwich Taken Into Custody In Norwalk A 23-year-old woman was nabbed months after allegedly stealing a purse in Greenwich and charged with felony larceny. Jamie Edwards-Hinton of Stamford was picked up by Norwalk Police on Tuesday and turned over to Greenwich Police who had an active warrant for her arrest for allegedly stealing the purse from a car parked in the lot at the Thru-Way Shopping Center at 13333 East Putnam Ave., on July 30, said Greenwich Police arrest report. Seven Measles Cases Confirmed In Rockland Rockland County government officials are putting out the call for anyone who has not received the measles vaccine to so now that seven cases have been confirmed in the county.Rockland County Executive Ed Day and County Health Commissioner Dr. Patricia Schnabel Ruppert said due to additional cases of measles from international travelers to Rockland, more people potentially have been exposed to measles. Investigators have narrowed down several locations where recycling materials came from in which the body of a full-term newborn baby boy was found dead by an employee in Stamford early Tuesday morning. Child Hurt In Monsey Incident Ramapo police said a 5-year-old child was hurt during an incident at a Monsey home. According to police, the incident took place around 9:06 p.m. Monday when police received an emergency call on Jill Lane in the village of Kaser. An investigation determined the emergency involved two juvenile family members and the 5-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not confirm if the child had fallen from a second-story window. The child was transported by Hatzolah Ambulance to Westchester Medical Center. Mother Charged In 5-Year-Old Son's Hot Car Death In Connecticut A 31-year-old mother who called police because she could not find her 5-year-old son has been charged with criminally negligent homicide. On May 3, around 2:28 p.m., Whitney Bosselman of the Village of Quaker Hill in the Town of Waterford called police reporting her 5-year-old son was missing from the family home, said Waterford Police Lt. State Police Nab Man Accused Of Trying To Video Child In Bathroom A 33-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attempting to videotape a juvenile as he changed his clothes in a bathroom. Jeremy Renaud, of Brooklyn, Conn., was arrested on Sunday by Connecticut State Police following an incident that took place on Sept. 4, in the Town of Killingly in which a teen, who entered a bathroom to change noticed a cell phone propped up with the video recorder running, state police said. Shelton Police Looking To Identify Bank Robbery Suspect Shelton Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man who robbed a Key Bank on Monday. The robbery took place around 10 a.m. Monday at the bank located at 794 Bridgeport Ave., Shelton Police Det. Christopher Nugent. According to Nugent, the man walked into the bank and passed a teller a note demanding money and implying he had a weapon, he said. No one was injured during the incident.
