She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Man Caught With Crack In Parking Lot Of Area Hotel A 34-year-old man was allegedly busted with crack cocaine after officers checked out suspicious activity at an area inn. Bruce Jelliffe of Milford was arrested Thursday after Milford Police observed alleged illegal activity in the parking lot of the Milford Inn at 345 Old Gate Lane, said Milford Police Officer Joseph Dempsey. During an investigation, Jelliffe was found to be in possession of crack cocaine. He was charged with possession of narcotics and released on $250 bond. Jelliffe is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6.

Search Temporarily Halted In Hudson River Area For Missing Woman A large-scale search for a woman missing in or near the Hudson River has been temporarily called off due to inclement weather. According to the Piermont Police Department, first responders from across Rockland County were forced to call off the search for the woman who has been since Thursday night. Rockland County Sheriff's Office Chief Barbera said the department has deployed its Marine and K-9 unit to help with the search for the "young" woman in the area of the new Tappan Zee Bridge. ID Released For Man Killed After Falling Through Skylight Hole On Roof In Stamford A Stamford man who was killed after falling through a hole for a skylight while working on the roof of an area building has been identified. Jacek Pilchowski, 59, fell more than 30 feet onto a concrete floor while replacing skylights on the roof of the Stamford Windustrial Company, said Stamford Police Capt. Tom Barcello. The incident took place around 1:34 p.m. Wednesday at 55 Sunnyside Ave., after the employee misstepped and fell through the opening, said Stamford Fire Deputy Chief Eric Lorenz. Man Critically Injured After Being Struck By Lexus In Residential Neighborhood Of Bridgeport A man is clinging to life after being hit by a car in a residential neighborhood. Anthony Johnson, 31, of Bridgeport, was standing at 140 East Avenue in Bridgeport when he was struck by a black Lexus around 12:45 a.m. Friday, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. After being hit, the car carried Johnson a short distance and before he was dropped on the roadway, Harris said. The driver of the Lexus stopped and immediately called 911. Downed Tree Causes Power Outage In Tuxedo An outage that disrupted power to more than 200 customers in the Town of Tuxedo was caused by a tree coming down in the woods, according to Orange and Rockland Utilities. As of 9 a.m. Friday, power has been restored to all but four customers who should expect outages until at least noon. Once the wires are fixed and the switch is made back to the main line, the same 200 customers could experience a brief outage, said O&R officials. Duo Stole $1.2K In Merchandise From Palisades Mall Lord & Taylor, Police Say Two men were nabbed with more than $1,000 in goods allegedly stolen from the Lord & Taylor at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack. The men, both from Queens, were arrested after Clarkstown police responded to the mall for a report of shoplifting, said Clarkstown Police Det. Sgt. Peter Walker. Delivery Driver Who Shot Himself In Fairfield Was Not Permitted To Carry Gun, Police Say A restaurant delivery driver who accidentally shot himself was not permitted to carry a gun, police said. Fairfield Police found the unidentified 24-year-old Trumbull man around 9:07 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a 911 call from an employee at Wings Over Fairfield, 2075 Black Rock Turnpike, reporting that a man was shot in the back of the building, said Lt. Man Accused Of Using Fake Prescriptions To Get Oxycodone, Other Drugs At Orange County Pharmacy Working on a tip, Orange County law enforcement officials arrested a 64-year-old man for allegedly using fake prescriptions to get oxycodone and other drugs. Eugene Anthony Lloyd, of New York City, was arrested Tuesday by officials with the Orange County Drug Task Force, Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement, after information was developed from the tip, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
