She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Yale Suspends Student After New Sexual Assault Allegations Surface A Yale student who was acquitted on sexual assault charges last year has been suspended again as new allegations of assault were leveled against him, according to the Yale Daily News. Saifullah Khan was suspended on Sunday by Dean of Yale College Marvin Chun, three days after the new charges surfaced, the school newspaper reported. According to the Yale Daily News, under the suspension, Khan has been barred from campus and all of his classes. New TZB Span Reopens After Jackknifed Tractor-Trailer Crash This story has been updated. All lanes have reopened after a jackknifed tractor-trailer crash on the middle of the southbound (Westchester-bound) span led to the closure of all but one lane early Thursday afternoon. New York State Police Trooper Michael Cassella said there were no injuries or other vehicles involved in the crash that took place around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Tractor-Trailer Overturns, Spilling Contents On Route 17 This story has been updated. The contents of a tractor-trailer that clipped another vehicle are spread in the median of Route 17, following the crash. The incident took place around noon Thursday on Route 17 in Monticello, causing the driver to flip the trailer on its side, said New York State Trooper Steve Nevel. One lane was blocked for more than an hour. No one was injured in the crash. Motorists should expect some slowdowns as the debris is cleaned up.

Mother Critically Injured, Three Children Thrown From Car In Taconic Parkway Crash A mother is in critical condition following a crash that sent three of her children flying onto the Taconic State Park. The incident took place around 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 when a 2010 Honda driven by Michael Morrison, 51, of Queens, rolled over on the parkway near Underhill Road in Yorktown, said State Police Spokesman Trooper AJ Hicks. The mother, who was a front-seat passenger, 51-year-old Maria Morrison is in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center, he said. Motorcyclist Killed In LaGrange Crash A motorcyclist was killed during a crash with a car in LaGrange, according to the state police. The crashed happened at around 6:35 a.m. Thursday at 460 Freedom Plains Road (Route 55) following a crash with a car, said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks. Police Save Woman, Children From Shotgun-Wielding Man In Westchester A woman and three children were rescued by police from a shotgun-wielding man they were trapped inside a home in Westchester. The incident took place around 5 p.m. Wednesday when Port Chester police received a 911 all from the woman who said there was a suicidal man in the residence on Willett Avenue who was armed with a shotgun and had fired shots, said Port Chester Police Chief Richard Conway. Spring Valley Fugitive Wanted For Home Invasion Nabbed During Warrant Search A 21-year-old man was arrested by force on an outstanding felony warrant for an armed home invasion after he was spotted by police and refused to surrender. Bradley Lauture, of Spring Valley, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday by Spring Valley Police when officers saw him entering his home and knew he had an outstanding warrant, said Det. Reginald Anderson. According to Anderson, Lauture was wanted for an armed, home invasion robbery and a separate stabbing that occurred a few months later. Worker In Critical Condition After Falling 30 Feet Through Opening On Roof Of Stamford Business A roofing employee fell more than 30 feet through a skylight, landing on a concrete warehouse floor while working on a Stamford's businesses' roof. The incident took place around 1:34 p.m. Wednesday at 55 Sunnyside Ave., after the employee misstepped and fell through the opening, said Stamford Fire Deputy Chief Eric Lorenz. Wappingers Falls Duo Caught With Cocaine In Parked Car A Wappingers Falls duo were busted with cocaine after police checked out their parked vehicle, Town of Poughkeepsie Police said. Nathan Green, 31, and Jamie Green, 45, both of Wappingers Falls, were busted Tuesday when an officer on routine patrol in the area of the Salt Point Turnpike and Innis Avenue spotted them parked vehicle in an area known for illegal drug use, Town of Poughkeepsie Police said. Woman Caught After I-95 Police Chase Starts In Stamford, Ends In Greenwich A 54-year-old woman was captured after taking State Police on a pursuit on I-95 into Greenwich.The incident began around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday when Josephine Aliberti, of the Bronx, refused to stop for a trooper for driving erratically in Stamford, the state police said. During the pursuit she repeatedly exited and re-entered I-95, traveling between Exit 4 and 5, the arrest report said.
