Here's When Bottini Fuel Fraud Victims Can Expect Refunds For the thousands of customers who may have been defrauded by Bottini Fuel, refunds will soon be on the way.The Wappingers Falls-based heating oil delivery company stole more than 1.7 million from customers by keeping overpayments and duplicate payments over a 12 year period, according to the New York State Attorney General's Office. Now, the company has to repay more than $3.2 million in penalties and restitution as part of an agreement with the government. Two Suspects Nabbed In Beating Of Victim In Stamford A 21-year-old area man and a juvenile have been arrested in connection with the beating of a man during a street robbery. The beating/robbery event took place on Wednesday, Nov. 14 around 5:50 p.m. when Stamford Police responded toa street robbery on Ludlow Street, said Stamford Police Lt. Thomas Scanlon. Man, 23, Charged After Investigation Into Brutal Abuse, Assault Of Baby In Stamford A man already behind bars for allegedly strangling and abusing his girlfriend has been charged with the ongoing brutal assault of a baby, according to Stamford Police. Jeisson Stiven Garcia, 23, of Stamford, was arrested Thursday following a 10-month investigation into the ongoing abuse of a 2-and-half-month-old baby girl, said Lt. Tom Scanlon. The abuse was uncovered on Feb. 6, when a 911 call was made to Stamford Police because the baby was not breathing, Scanlon said. Macy's Store In Area Scheduled For Closure Macy's fans will soon have one less store to shop at when one of its locations in the area closes its doors early next year. Warning Issued After New Car Burglary In Red Hook Police are warning residents to lock their vehicles after a car burglary that matches a string of others across the area. Police said the latest break-in occurred at Poets Walk at Red Hook where thieves smashed a car window and made off with a purse that was inside. Two Charged In Assault That Leaves Victim Seriously Injured Two suspects have been arrested for the brutal beating of a man that took place earlier this fall in Shelton.
