She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Three From Rockland Nabbed For DWI In Stops By Sheriff's Officers Three people were arrested for DWI by the Rockland County Sheriff's Office during routine traffic stops. Those arrested included: Omar Bello, 24, of Suffern, was arrested around 4:25 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, after being stopped on Route 59 in Spring Valley. During the stop, deputies found that Bello was allegedly under the influence and was driving with a license. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, DWI and aggravated DWI with a BAC greater than .18 percent. He was released on a summons to appear in court on Dec. 18. Popular Route 9 College Bar Loses Liquor License An investigation into complaints of underage drinking taking place at a Hyde Park bar led to the suspension of the establishment's liquor license by the State Liquor Authority. The Authority suspended the license for Darby O’Gills at 3969 Albany Post Road (Route 9) on Wednesday, Dec. 5 after an undercover compliance inspections operation found a high number of underage drinkers. Accused Drug Dealer Becomes Combative With Officers During Arrest, Police Say Two people were arrested following a traffic stop during an anti-crime patrol after becoming combative with officers.Carmichael Wright, 27, of the Bronx, and Tarita Banks, 55, of Milford, were arrested on Tuesday following the stop in the area of Naugatuck Avenue and Baldwin Street, the Milford Police said. According to police, when stopped, Wright became combative with detectives before being taken into custody. Massive House Fire Breaks Out In Suffern Multiple fire departments are on the scene of a massive house fire in Suffern that has closed a roadway to area traffic. The fire, at 80 Washington Ave., began around 1:32 p.m. Wednesday, causing Washington Avenue to be closed to traffic, said the Suffern Police Department. Norwalk Man Wanted For Operating Drug Factory Nabbed On Warrant In Stamford An investigation into narcotics sales led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man following a search of his home. Ryan Jackson, of Norwalk, was arrested Tuesday at a location in Stamford by members of the Norwalk Police Department's Special Services Department along with the U.S. Marshals Service, according to the Norwalk Police. Boom Truck Tips Over, Nearly Crushing Home In Northern Westchester A boom truck working on removing trees behind a North Salem home tipped over, hitting the structure. The incident took place around 10 a.m. Wednesday when the truck tipped over and landed on the corner of the Lakeside Drive house that was recently purchased by new owners, North Salem Police Lt. Andrew Brown said. "They were lucky the home wasn't crushed," Brown said. The truck from Osorio Tree Service apparently tipped while doing tree work and landed on the edge of the house. Man Wanted On Charges Of Assault, Strangulation Surrenders To Greenwich Police A 43-year-old man wanted on assault and strangulation charges turned himself in to police. Darnell L. Davis, of Miami Beach, turned himself into Greenwich Police on Tuesday after being advised of an active warrant for his arrest for an event that took place in Greenwich on August 15 on Orchard Hill Lane, Greenwich Police said. Following his surrender, Davis was charged with assault, strangulation/suffocation, and unlawful restraint. He chose not to post the $10,000 bond, police said.

Person Of Interest ID'd In Theft At Toys For Tots Christmas Drive For Underprivileged Kids Bridgeport Police are asking the public for help in tracking down a man who is a person of interest in the theft of toys meant for the Toys for Tots program that provides Christmas gifts for underprivileged children. A large number of toys were stolen on Saturday, Dec. 1, from storage containers at the Greater Christian Fellowship Center at 180 Boston Ave., said Bridgeport Police spokesman Terron Jones. Body Of Man Pulled From Still River In Danbury The body of a man was found in the Still River in Danbury on Saturday morning. The man, who was believed to be homeless, may have fallen into the river, Danbury police said. An investigation is underway, but police don't believe foul play is suspected. Police declined to provide additional information.
