ID Released For Person Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer On I-84 Bridge The identity of the person killed during a two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge on I-84 has been released. The crash took place around 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, when a Kenworth tractor-trailer was traveling east in the center lane of the eastbound span of the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge when it became disabled, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel.  The vehicle came to a complete stop in the center lane. Two Nabbed For ID Theft Attempting To Buy $1.8K In Goods From Saks, Greenwich Police Say Two men were nabbed for identity theft after allegedly attempting to purchase some $1,890 in goods from the Saks on Greenwich Avenue.The men were arrested Thursday, Dec. 6, after Saks personnel became suspicious when the two men, Franklin Freiber Romero, 25 of Reading, Pennsylvania, and Francisco Diaz-Denoly, 23, of the Bronx, attempted to purchase $1,890 worth of goods at the store in Greenwich, said Greenwich Police. The fire department has been on the scene on Ellendale Avenue for more than three hours trying to locate the source of the leak that is causing a strong odor of gas in the area, said the Port Chester Police. Person Trapped In Car After I-95 Crash Rescued By Westport Firefighters Firefighters recused a crash victim using a rope system after the car fell down an embankment. The crash took place around 6 a.m. Sunday northbound on I-95 just north of Exit 18 in Westport, said the Westport Fire Department on Facebook. Arriving firefighters found a single car down an embankment and one occupant trapped inside. Firefighters extricated the occupant from the vehicle and then brought the person up the embankment utilizing a rope system, the department said.
