Number Of Measles Cases In Rockland Nears 100 The number of measles cases in Rockland County is closing in on 100 with 91 confirmed cases and eight suspected cases, according to county officials. In an effort to help stem the spread of the measles, the Rockland County Department of Health will hold a free vaccine clinic at the Palisades Center Mall on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 3  to 6 p.m. The clinic will be held indoors, near Bed Bath & Beyond, on the first floor in the West Court of the Palisades Center, closest to Parking Lot A. Overnight Burglary At Darien Business Under Investigation Darien Police are investigating an overnight burglary at a downtown business. According to police, the owner of Flowers and Flowers at 846 Post Road, reported the burglar damaged the rear door to the business to get inside sometime after 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, said Detective James Palmieri. The suspect stole approximately $40 from the cash register, he said. An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should contact the Darien Police Department at 203-662-5300.

Person Trapped In Car After I-95 Crash Rescued By Westport Firefighters Firefighters recused a crash victim using a rope system after the car fell down an embankment. The crash took place around 6 a.m. Sunday northbound on I-95 just north of Exit 18 in Westport, said the Westport Fire Department on Facebook. Arriving firefighters found a single car down an embankment and one occupant trapped inside. Firefighters extricated the occupant from the vehicle and then brought the person up the embankment utilizing a rope system, the department said.
