Man Charged In Stabbing During Overnight Westchester Street Fight A 23-year-old area man was arrested following the stabbing of another man during a street fight. Gordon Curtis Gaston, of Mount Vernon and arrested early Wednesday, shortly after police found the injured man lying in the street around 3:10 a.m., said David Chong, commissioner of the White Plains Department of Public Safety. The injured man was found after White Plains officers responded to a report of a fight involving two men at the corner of Post Road and Mamaroneck Avenue, Chong said. Fire Breaks Out In Massive Norwalk Home Firefighters battled an early morning fire at a large, 6,500-square-foot home in Norwalk. The fire broke out around 6:22 a.m. Wednesday at 4 Hilltop Road, in Norwalk, said the Norwalk Fire Department. Arriving crews were met heavy fire showing from the gable end and the roof, the department said. The fire, that was in the attic, caused the roof to collapse. Cat Saved After Fire Breaks Out In Trumbull House Firefighters managed to save a cat during a large garage fire at a single-story Trumbull home. Police Identify Woman Who Ripped Off Tip Jar From Area Bakery A woman who stole the employee tip jar from a bakery has been identified by police. The incident took place around 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at Scratch Baking on Board Street, in Milford, when the woman stuffed the jar with cash into a large handbag, the bakery told police. Woman Charged After Throwing Soda Can At Victim's Face, Greenwich Police A Greenwich woman was arrested after injuring a person she was fighting with by throwing a soda can at the victim's face. Hannah Vizzo, 35, was arrested Friday after police responded to a location in central Greenwich on Brookside Drive for a physical altercation call, said the Greenwich Police. When officers arrived on the scene the victim told officers that Vizzo had allegedly thrown the soda, the arrest report said. Vizzo was charged with disorderly conduct and released after posting $1,000 bond.

Bethel Resident ID'd As Woman Found Shot, Killed On Shore In Bridgeport A 25-year-old woman who was found shot in the head on the shore of Bridgeport has been identified. Emily Todd of Bethel was fatally shot on Seaview Avenue/ Newfield Avenue adjacent to the boat launch ramp on Sunday, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. Police Searching For 'Person Of Interest' In Theft Of City Of Poughkeepsie Truck Police are asking the public for help locating a "person of interest" in the theft of a City of Poughkeepsie truck.  The truck, a white 2005 Chevrolet, was stolen around 2:44 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, from the loading dock of City Hall, said City of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Richard Wilson. The truck, which has the seal of the City of Poughkeepsie and the number 58, belongs to the Public Works department. Its registration number is AD8973. Surveillance video of the City Hall complex has led police to identify Robert Warran, 55, as a person of interest, he said. …
