Caregiver Charged With Theft, Illegal Use Of Credit Card In New Canaan A 25-year-old woman turned herself into New Canaan police on a warrant for failure to appear after allegedly committing credit card fraud while working as a caregiver in 2014. Tyetianna Owens-Coles, of Jonesboro, Georgia, was arrested Wednesday for credit card theft, larceny, forgery, and illegal use of a credit card, that took place while she was working in New Canaan, police said. She is being held on $10,000 bond.

Teen Charged With Dwai After Driver, Passenger Trapped In Single-Vehicle Crash On Taconic An 18-year-old teen was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol following a crash that trapped both the driver and a passenger. The crash took place around 8:55 p.m. Thursday on the Taconic State Parkway in Pleasant Valley, said Trooper AJ Hicks with the New York State Police. The unidentified driver of the 2017 Honda Accord was treated at MidHudson Regional for minor injuries. The passenger was not injured. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15, 2019.

Person Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train Near Darien A 50-year-old man was struck and killed by a Metro-North train Thursday night near Darien. According to Metro-North officials, the incident took place around 7:35 p.m. Dec. 13 at Noroton Heights. The train had departed Grand Central at 6:49 p.m. headed for New Haven. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identification is pending notification of next of kin. MTA Police are investigating. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

The incident took place around 6:27 a.m. Friday, on John Street; just east of its intersection with Park Avenue, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.  The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle which entered John Street from the rear parking lot of the Connecticut Post Newspaper.
