Woman Bites, Strikes Man While Holding Baby During Dispute, Police Say A 28-year-old woman was arrested by Milford Police after allegedly biting and hitting a man who was holding an infant at the at the time of the attack. Crystal Westcott, of West Haven, was arrested around 11:30 a.m. Sunday after police responded to a home on a possible domestic violence call, said the Milford Police. When police arrived on the scene the victim told officers that Westcott was throwing items inside the home and then bit and hit the man who was holding the infant child. Man Nabbed For Attempting To Steal $2K Handbag On Greenwich Avenue, Police Say Police arrested a 24-year-old man after he allegedly hid a handbag worth more than $2,000 in a store and then attempted to retrieve it. Joshua Rodriguez, of New York City, was arrested Sunday by Greenwich Police after they were called to a Greenwich Avenue store and told that a handbag worth $2,150, had been hidden behind an AC unit and was most likely stolen, said the Greenwich Police. Number Of Measles Cases Increases Again In Rockland The measles outbreak that has plagued Rockland County continues to grow as the number of new cases has again increased. On Tuesday, the Rockland County Department of Health said there are currently 114 cases of measles confirmed in the county as well as five suspected cases that are being monitored. Man Stabbed, Killed During Altercation In Bridgeport Police are investigating the first homicide of the year in Bridgeport following a fatal stabbing on Monday. The incident took place around 6:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, when a 39-year-old man was stabbed during an altercation inside 136 Bishop Avenue, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald. Police learned of the shooting after the victim showed up at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern after being shot in Hillcrest.
