Man Shot, Killed In Stratford Identified
A man who was found shot around 2:19 a.m. Saturday and later died has been identified.
Eduardo Concepcion, 30, of Bridgeport, died after being shot while sitting in a vehicle on Regency Terrace in Stratford, with another man, according to Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.
A preliminary investigation found that Concepcion and another man were sitting in a parked car when they were approached by two males on foot, Eannotti said.
The men exchanged words, and one produced a firearm and fired at least one shot, striking Concepcion, who was a passenger in the vehicle, Eannotti said.

Three Nabbed For Mob Gambling Ring In Area, DA Says
Three area men have been nabbed for running an illegal gambling ring and money laundering operation in Rockland County that took in more a $1 million.
The three men, John Andriello, 66, of Pearl River; Marco Minuto, 60, of Old Tappan, New Jersey, and Brian Levine, 49, of Garnerville, were arrested Friday, Jan. 11, according to Acting Rockland County District Attorney Kevin Gilleece.
The DA’s Office said the men made at least a million by accepting wagers on various sporting events, including professional and college football.

Greenwich Police: Stamford Man Driving Nearly Twice Speed Limit On Post Road Charged With DUI
A Stamford man busted for driving at nearly twice the speed limit was also nabbed for DUI in Greenwich, police said.
Alexander Young, 49, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 12, after Greenwich police observed him traveling on Post Road in the area of the Cos Cob Firehouse on E. Putnam Avenue at a high rate of speed, said the Greenwich Police.
The vehicle was clocked at reaching speeds of 55 miles per hour in a 30 miles per hour zone, police said.
