Norwalk Teen Surrenders To Police In Connection To Fatal Crash Involving Stamford Motorcyclist An 18-year-old from Norwalk surrendered to police in connection with a fatal 2018 crash that killed a motorcyclist in Stamford. Justin Foley surrendered himself to the Stamford Police Friday and was charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle following an investigation into the Sept. 23, 2018 crash, said Stamford Police Sgt. Central Nyack Shed Fires Closes Roadway, Injures One A shed fire in Central Nyack has closed a roadway and reportedly injured one person. The fire, at 23 Vine St., started around 11:21 a.m. Friday, according to the Clarkstown Police Department. The road is closed, police are asking motorists to avoid the area. Man Nabbed For Sexually Assaulting Teen Over Two Years A 37-year-old man was arrested for sexually assaulting a teen after she reported the abuse to police. Victor Santos of Shelton was arrested Friday in connection with a complaint filed against him in November 2018, by a female victim who told officers she had been sexually assaulted by a relative, said Shelton Police Department Det. Richard Bango. The victim stated that the assaults took place when she was 16 and 17 years old, he said. Road Rage Slashing Leads To 30 Stitches For Victim In Spring Valley, Police Say A man was arrested for slashing another person in the face following a road rage incident in Spring Valley. The incident was reported on Wednesday, Jan. 16, when Spring Valley Police responded to Dutch Lane for a report of a man who had been slashed in his face, said Spring Valley Officer Matthew Galli. When officers arrived they found a man with a facial wound that began at his temple and ended past his lip and required more than 30 stitches to close, Galli said. ID Released For Man Killed In Crash That Caused Hours-Long Saw Mill Parkway Closure The driver who died in a crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway that closed the northbound lanes in Bedford Hills for hours has been identified. Robert Leff, 51, of the Baldwin Place section of Somers, died around 11:25 a.m. Thursday after crashing into a tree, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police. Leff was traveling northbound in the vicinity of Green Lane when his Toyota Rav 4 left the roadway and struck a tree. Man Nabbed For DWI Following Traffic Crash In Nyack A 54-year-old man was arrested for DWI after Orangetown Police responded to a report of a car crash. Dennis Morgan, of Naples, Florida, was arrested around 12:09 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, after police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on High Avenue in Nyack, said Orangetown Police Sgt. Suspect On Loose After Shooting In Danbury The Danbury Police Department is currently investigating a shooting which took place in the area of Ellsworth and Hospital Avenues Thursday afternoon, Jan. 17. Police said there is one victim being treated at the Danbury Hospital for a gunshot wound to the arm. The shooter was last seen in the area of Wooster Cemetery. Woman, Children Hospitaiized After Rollover Crash One person had to be extricated and three were hospitalized following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Shelton. The crash occurred around 3 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Route 108 (Shelton Avenue) and Pine Street, said Shelton Police Det. Richard Bango. A mother and her two children were taken to a local hospital after the crash which caused the vehicle rollover. Officials with the Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Company said one person had to be extricated from the vehicle. The extent of injuries was not known.
